Game notes:

Wings lose to Oilers 3-2 (Thursday)
– Lyon in net
– No goals 1st period. 👻🐻 tried the Michigan. Wings outshot 16-5 and Lyon looks unbelievable
– 2nd period was a dumpster fire up until the last 10mins where both teams go back and forth with scoring opportunities. Still 0-0 going into the 3rd and wings outshot 27-11 and once again, Lyon is playing lights out
– Copp scores 3mins into the 3rd to take the lead 1-0 then oilers try to challenge for goalie interference and lose the challenge so wings go on their 3rd pp of the game
– Fabbri almost makes it 2-0 on a 2on1 breakaway and the post was not his friend keeping it 1-0
– Mcdavid destroys our defense and makes it 1-1…
– Mad scramble in the net front and the Hyman scores in the slot 2-1 oilers…
– Maata ties it thanks to a nice keep in by Larkin with Raymond deep to put it on net and Maata finishes to tie it 2-2 late in the 3rd
– Refs decline a goal via hand pass on the oilers and should have been a penalty because it was a closed hand on the puck
– OT free hockey! We get a point
– Edmonton scores with Lyon breaking his stick, Raymond turning the puck over, and this team just forgetting how to play defense in their own zone.
– Wings were outshot 47-18…

Wings beat Kings (Saturday) 5-3
– Lyon in net and currently 9th in the league by SV% with a .922SV%
– 4mins in Perron able to forecheck and takeaway the puck to give to Larkin who snipes it over the goalie to take the lead 1-0
– Kings tie it up after a botched penalty call on Holl for tripping. Lafreniere toe picks the ice and Byfield gets the goal net front in the slot. 1-1
– half way through the second Larkin scores again on the 5-3, nice rebound of LA goalie. 2-1 wings
– Cat get stoned by tabolt and has some joking words for him.
– Fabbri scores with about 3 1/2 left, assist from sprong who was working hard to through it at the net. 3-1 wings
– 1 min later, Kane gets a break away and that’s basically all you have to say. 4-1
– Detroit gets a break with goal tendy interference, goal taken away. Took the refs about 5mins to decide if it was a good goal or not.
– 12 seconds left in the 2nd, Sieder takes a rip from the blue line and fisher tips her in for a 4 goal lead to end the 2nd. The goal was credited to Andrew Copp. 5-1 wings
– 3rd period got the red wings running around trying not to let the kings score.
– 2 goals by the kings in the third by Dubios on a crappy bounce. And a second by Byfield of a juicy rebound on the PP.
– Wings win 5-3 barely with Kings playing 6on5 for the final 4mins of the 3rd period
