  1. Fractured wrist, you can see it bending. Bones bend a lot without breaking. But high probability that's a fracture. Goons in hockey. So disappointing.

  2. 0:41 thatโ€™s for getting rough with the smaller Isles players every chance you get. Watch out. Big boys are on the ice now๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

  3. This has been going on for a long time in the NHL. They rarely call cross checking penalties. I donโ€™t think he got hurt on the cross check. If you watch Kuch looks right over at the ref then jumps up after he sees there wonโ€™t be a call. He then seems to skate all the way down the ice without issue when he could have stopped at the bench on the way. He seems to have gotten hurt from the check he tried to throw on Barzal because hes immediately in pain after awkwardly hitting the boards instead of Barzal.

  4. Mayfield def deserved a penalty for it but it looks like the cross-check is on the right side. After he comes together with Barzal, it looks like he is favoring the opposite side.

  5. NHL Rule 59.4: โ€œ59.4 Match Penalty – The Referee, at his discretion, may assess a match penalty if, in his judgement, the player or goalkeeper attempted to or deliberately injured his opponent by cross-checking.โ€ This was an obvious intentional attempt to injure Kucherov. He hit him in the ribs/back as hard as he could, after the puck was gone. The refs made no call. In between what the refs did and rule 59.4 was rule 59.2, minor penalty, and rule 59.3, major penalty. Nowhere in the NHL rules does it allow for the refs to simply not call a cross check for ANY REASON. The NHL and the refs are complicit in allowing teams to shape the playoffs by simply taking out the best players and ignoring the rules. A cross-check has to be called. There is no option to ignore a cross check. In my opinion, he knew before he stepped his skate on the ice that he was going to take Kucherov out of the game with a cross check. The refs know it. The NHL knows it. Anyone who watches this video knows it.

  6. Mayfield gets 3d Star of the game instead of a major penalty/suspension for putting Nikita Kucherov out of the game and later drawing blood on Stamkos with yet another vicious cross check from behind. Great ref'ing, great league discipline.

  7. The islanders hurt a player with no call on the ice?! No waaayy. They havenโ€™t been head hunting teams best players all playoffs or anything.

  8. We Avs fans feel your pain. This is the sort of BS the Vegas Knights did constantly every game all throughout our series and the refs called nothing.

Seriously, Avs players were getting cross checked and charged all over the place and the refs allowed Vegas to do whatever they wanted. Hell, there was a play where Mark Stone cross checked Gabe Landeskog in the face, even drawing blood, and no call.
