I'd guess the Sens move Chabot and/or Norris, Brannstrom, Joseph, maybe Tarasenko (he really likes it here but ideally, he waives and the Sens move him) they need to stock the prospect pool up and probably some minor moves
It's really not that tough a task to turn this team around they need a coach that holds them accountable which Jacques does but he's likely not the long term solution and they've barely had any practices which is another issue but they need a top 4 RHD and someone better than Kubalik on that 3rd line spot and other than that the team just needs to put in more effort which is gonna take time when DJ Smith didn't really care about the effort ever the team needs a good training camp of condition and they should improve its basically just riding out this season and waiting until next year and having a tough training camp so they actually get conditioned for next season the team has the pieces everyone knows that they just need some work and support in certain areas

As a Flyers fan who never expected his team to be in the playoff picture, if I’m Briere, I’m offering a package of mid round picks to bring Giroux back home. You never want to mess with a locker room much and this is a guy who already knows our locker room. For the right price, I take the swing….thoughts?
Tarasenko and Kubalik are likely gone for sure.. Branny as well.. but Chych isnt going anywhere unless they get an insane offer for him. Norris and Chabot would be hard to move woth those big contracts/injury history, they'd have to either retain salary or take a bad contract in return.

Chabot will move before Chychrun. The ‘take care of yourself comment ‘ as well as Chabot’s NTC starting in the offseason pretty much has him off the team next year.
The Sens, however, are a fucking thorn in the side of my Wings who just can't seem to beat a team the Wings SHOULD win against. I love my Wings, but I cringe when they play teams like the Sens.

At this point we're just used to it at Sens fans. It's the same thing every year and we act surprised when nothing changes, I truly don't know what's wrong with this franchise. We might as well just tank as hard as we can for celebrini or a high level prospect in the draft

Gonna stop some of this nonsense. Here’s what’s actually going on in Ottawa:
On the trade block: Tarasenko, Kubalik, Brannstrom (these players are likely traded at the deadline)
Unlikely to be moved but not impossible: Joseph, Chabot
If they get traded, something new has happened because they are not in discussions but could be available : Batherson
Untouchables: Tkachuk, Stutzle, Sanderson, Giroux, Norris. (Norris is not getting moved as long as Tkachuk is in Ottawa)
Chychrun loves Ottawa and has family there, highly doubt he gets moved. Also the interest Weegar might have with Ottawa doesn’t justify the fit long term for Ottawa. Do they need a Weegar right now? Yes. But down the line it would hurt them and this it’s not worth the risk considering how low the odds of making the playoffs are this season.
You are SO wrong about Chabot, please watch him instead of just looking at twitter and his +/-. You’re insanely out of touch with Chabot, he’s incredible. The only reason he gets moved is cause they have two other star left shot D and he’s the oldest of the 3 while making 8 mil

Besides Kubilik and Tarasenko, all these moves can wait till the offseason where, the cap is going up, and they have $5M of dead cap coming off the books gives them tremendous flexibility.
They really are just a capable top4 RD, a veteran centre, and a Stutzle rebound away from getting back into the hunt.
It all depends on what Staois does with the Left side of the defense for next year. Sanderson, Chychrun, Chabot and Brannstrom are all capable defenders (with Kleven continuing to grow his game in the AHL). Moving one (preferably Chabot) to fill those caps should be a priority.
Out of the forward ‘core,’ Batherson is probably going to be moved as well to sweeten any deal. Joseph played himself back on to the team and his speed is irreplaceable as seen when he was injured.
A Hamonic buyout will free up JDB to play full time minutes and start develop properly.
