No need to save anymore. Poke check didnt even touch the puck. Its not a save its a trip on the penalty shot. NHL refereeing is crap!
Goalie went for the skate not the puck. Another penalty shot.
If you go after a guy's skate on a penalty shot, it should be a re-do plus a two-minute penalty for tripping. That will end this.
Seeing all the people getting pissed over this is hilarious. This is a completely legal play as of right now:
Rule 24.4: "The goalkeeper may attempt to stop the shot in any manner
except by throwing his stick or any object, or by deliberately dislodging
the goal, in which case a goal shall be awarded."
I don't know why people are saying it's a re-do if you go for a guy's skate, it doesn't mention it in the rulebook lol
