Tough loss, but overall a great road trip for the boys.

  1. Genuine question: Does Soucy-Myers as a pairing work a lot better than Zadorov-Myers? If yes, what makes it so?

Interested to hear people’s opinions on this.

  2. We’ve got the Lotto Line and the Thirst Line, I propose we call Mikheyev-Suter-Kuzmenko the Houdini Line

Wonder if Tochett will think about bringing Juulsen back in for a few games. Cole playing on his offhand could be costing him and Zadorov.

  4. I called Zadorov would be bottom left at some point in the GDT. That had to be his worst game as a Canuck.

petey has been a beast throughout the entire trip

I was wondering whether we should re-sign Zadorov or if we should give his cap space up to sign other UFAs. Before Soucy came back, I thought he was probably top of our UFAs to re-sign, but now I’m not so sure. He is more physical than Soucy, less injury prone, and has potentially better offensive upside, but his defensive game leaves a lot to be desired and his ice time reflects that. If he’s gonna cost us almost 5M+ for long term, I’d rather we just lose him to free agency and bring someone like Wolanin or Hirose in next year. heck, maybe even re-sign Myers for another year at 3M.

I’m glad people are finally catching on that Zadorov isn’t very good. Soucy is considerably better. Zad is barely worth his current dollars, and I hope we don’t re-sign him for a raise.

UNLESS…he blows some players up in the playoffs. Then he might have special value. But as a defenseman, he’s not good. His positioning is awful and he takes forever to make decisions. Myers is better.

I gotta say I have no idea how Zadorov made out so poorly on this stat card. I watched the entire game and I didn’t see him do anything worse than anyone else. In fact, I remember being impressed with a couple of his plays. Strange.

Fuck man, Tocchet has got Kuzy so fucking rattled that he’s more worried about not fucking up than he is about being his elite goal-scoring self, resulting in him being basically a non-factor in both directions.

Really wish he would loosen the leash on Kuzy a little bit and try to let him find his form again. Continuing on as is benefits nobody. He’s not really helping the team much, and he’s cratering any potential trade value as well. At some point I feel like some of the blame for Kuzmenko’s massive fall off has to be put on Tocchet.

Zadorov seems to be at the bottom of most of these charts-
