How About Those Oilers…

Nhl highlights 2024 – Edmonton oilers vs montreal canadiens was a tight grind of a game, but it led to the oilers winning their franchise record-setting 10th game in a row, which seems like a far cry from how this season began. I can’t wait for the next oilers vs canadiens matchup because even though it was low-scoring with only goals coming from cole caufield , leon draisaitl and evan bouchard overtime winner, it was still a fun one. 1. In Montréal there’s 2 types of boos, the McDavid boo is when we boo a really fucking good player to try to throw him off, and the there’s the Brad Marchand boo, no explanation needed here.

  2. i love skinner and im actually more confident seeing him in net, even after we were losing, he didnt crumble the way a lot of goalies probably would, he deserves a lot more respect than oilers fans give him – the amount of times hes been the scapegoat to brush off all other criticism of the team – idk man im very happy with him , and i hope in the next years we focus on getting him a good supporting goalie and defence!

  3. They won devils, Rangers, kings, flyers, wings… All teams in playoff spots! And many others which are still in competition are beaten too…

  4. I am one of those Oilers fans that doesn't hate the Flames. I want both Alberta teams to do good, I just want one of them to do a bit better than the other. Love your channel keep 'em coming.

  5. Oilers fan here but did you say ceci is better at defense recently… that is just not true honestly he's gotten worse recently

  6. Bouchard was kindly responding to Montreal fans "cheers" of his name "BOO-chard!" by scoring the game winner.

  7. Hyman is on a ridiculously good contract. I remember the leafs bashing him when he signed. Not even an Oilers fan but I can respect Hyman big time. Stud.

  8. "he's got a great nose for the net" heyyyyy i know what you did there. funny tho i was thinking not 5 seconds earlier about how big it is lol

  9. the fact that 10 in a row is a FRANCHISE record is stunning, I figured they'd have done it many times before but apparently not

  10. For those who don't know, Habs fan have had a history of booing the best players of the other team, and it's generally done as a sign of respect. Back in the 80's and 90's, Gretzky and Lemieux could get boos and cheers in the same game from Montreal fans…

  11. Love how the Flames media is losing their minds about the Oilers streak$. Yet won't give their own team credit as they are only 2 points out of a wild card spot. "Blow it up!". The season is only half over with plenty of things that can change in a few weeks as we saw in Edmonton. Let's go! Battle of Alberta 2024!!!

  12. I’m so sick of seeing the Oilers everywhere I look. How about you start talking about them till they make the cup final if that ever happens.

  13. I feel like your relationship with the Oilers as a Flames fan is kinda like mine with the Sens and the Habs as a Leafs fan.

Oh yes, when the Leafs are facing them, they are the biggest villain teams in the league! …But it is way better for the rivalry when those teams are good. And any time either of them make it further than the Leafs in a given season, you bet I'm cheering for them.

  14. Imagine they miss the playoffs even while cooking, if they weren’t so shit at the beginning of the year they would be in the playoff race, they should make it to the playoffs, im a ranger fan but their streak is pretty good

  15. LOVE the mature response from a Flames fan. I too want to see the Flames be successful and admire their lunch bucket efforts. I just wish you guys didn't get so screwed over the past couple years. The rivalry was going to become something epic just as two unspecified players walk.

  16. We never had another 10-game win streak because there was ties. We had multiple OT's in this run, which would've been impossible in the 80's.
