Wonder if this was to give them enough cap to bring Shea back up if Ruhwedel is hurt, or if its a different fwd returning.

Dubas true to his word that he’d use waivers to keep the depth competitive. Damn. I wanted Zohorna to work out, thought he had figured it out after his recall early on.

Under 8 mins of ice time in 6 of his last 9 games.
Just squeeeeeze the life out of a guy who can chip in offensively, until he’s demoralized and then placed on waivers. The Sullivan special.

Did the same thing with Heinen, except in that case it was the doghouse instead of waivers. Heinen’s pacing for over 30 points if he played all the games.
Not sure we’ll get 10 out of Acciari or Nieto.

Z has been invisible on the ice. He is huge but plays like a 5’6 player. You can’t blame this on Sullivan. Z had plenty of chances this season and was marginal at best.

He might be the softest tall player I’ve ever seen. Literally never engages with anyone, and never uses his size to intimidate.

In his last few games, he played like he’s earned a 5 year NTC contract with Penguins.

I’m trying to remember, was it Zahorna who took a very bad penalty recently?

Thank god he didnt change anyone on the powerplay

Hopefully means sam poulin is the next to get a 3rd line opportunity

Does anyone know if we have a contract slot available for a Cory Perry signing? I think he’d be perfect for our 3rd line/2nd PP, our depth signings obviously aren’t working out so far and he wouldn’t require giving up any assets.

Let’s be honest,it didn’t pan out.Penguins gave him too many chances to show himself. He didn’t succeed.

Doubt he gets claimed but if he does, it was an interesting ride 😔

Glad they relegated ol stone hands. For a guy who was praised as having size and skill, he never really looked to me to have much of either (of course he is large but his game never showed it, and it definitely didn’t show his skill)

He was playing on PP1 a month ago. Dude just didn’t have it.

As big of a Z supporter I’ve been all year, he just hasn’t strung it together in the NHL here. Sucks. Wish the puzzle pieces fit right correctly, but at the present moment it’s the right move.

Still like his floor as a depth option, hope he clears. Just doesn’t kill penalties and Harkins has been better than I ever thought he would be

never bought his sample in his short stints but this was pretty a lengthy one and he’s still a 55% xGF 1.4 p/60 guy. Not nothing

I wanted Zohorna to work out, but my lord is he like an XL version of Dominik Simon

I’ll be honest, I thought he was still with the Flames this whole time lol.

Z had a good year just too inconsistent. Puustinen is starting to fall off too, I’d recall Poulin he’s ripping the AHL up goals in 5 straight games. Not sure why they haven’t got him up. I would also reclaim Friedman, he’s better than Ludvig and Shea. He drops hits and can skate. He also can score. Shea and Ludvig bring nothing offensively
