> Amazon will make a minority investment in the company as part of the proposal. It will use its Prime Video platform to offer direct-to-consumer access to MLB, NBA and NHL games, including pre-game and post-game content of its various RSNs on a local basis. The size of the investment and other details have yet to be disclosed.

Would this mean I’d be able to watch games out of market as long as I pay for Amazon?

Well it can’t get worse. As long as it works better and costs less than Bally, I am all for a proven streaming service taking charge of these games as long as I get the Ken and Mick feed.

As long as it’s included with prime I’ll live with it.
Prime keeps getting jacked up anyway so I guess hockey is a reason to keep it.
Pretty annoyed that two day shipping is a thing of the past.

I just hope it’s included with Prime.

Does anyone know what will happen to someone like me who purchased a yearly subscription to Bally?
chriskzoo
As a YouTubeTV subscriber, I applaud this, pending the cost structure. If it’s just included with Prime, awesome, but not worth the $20 a month Bally is charging as a standalone service.

Think we’ll get 4k streaming?
janx218
As long as Mick and Ken stick around, I don’t care who I have to pay.

Dammit! I was hoping Bally would vanish and be replaced with someone who knows where a score bug belongs.
robturner45
Does this mean we get a new scorebug or?
Smokes_LetsGo_
Does this mean that in-market customers will be able to watch games if they have a Prime subscription? No blackouts?
nickpegg
Ken and mick possible in Canada ?
CaptYzerman
I’ll pay $7 a month for all games or just stream elsewhere
samsquanchy
I’d rather Ballys just die and the Wings local broadcasts go over the air. I don’t really anticipate this Amazon change being any cheaper for people, I have a slight hunch the cost will go up. But maybe at least the stream will be reliable and less buggy this way?

Court needs to approve it but it sounds hopeful.
