  1. Vancouver apparently. The Leafs sure as hell not showing any signs of life. Edmonton a clear 2nd. The Oilers should go after Fleury hard before trade deadline.

  2. Canucks this year remind me of NJ last year, at least in that no one expected this.
I want to say the Jets. But their year is already a little hard to believe.
Both teams have very solid goalies: that could take them far in the playoffs.
I'm not sure about the Oilers. They're so darn streaky.

  3. Canucks are 1st in goals for per game and 2nd in goals against per game. Saying their defensive game is lacking and Winnipeg's is stellar makes no sense. +54 goal differential and loads of firepower. Bla bla bla. Typical no respect for the west coast teams because they play past your bed time. Stick to the eastern analysis.

  4. No one wants to play Edmonton in the play-offs, you wanna deal with a pissed off McDavid in his prime, with Hyman having a season career, and Skinner on fire in goal? 😎

  5. Winnipeg #1, Edmonton #2, Vancouver #3, #4 Toronto. Winnipeg just has all the right pieces tbh, everyone else is missing something.

  6. The hate on Canucks is insane your still sleeping on Canucks if they win the cup you guys will look like idiots

  7. Jets fan here….but I like the Canucks at this point….actually I’m not sure lol….watched the oilers leafs last night and neither of those teams play defense like Winnipeg ….but McDavid…..fun year!

  8. The question is not an easy one to answer right now. In Winnipeg, the Jets have the NHL's best GAA. Defense and goaltending are what enables a team to travel and especially in the playoffs. The Canucks have the best goal differential in the League right now, demonstrating good balance. In Edmonton, the giant has awaken. The Oilers have the Kings and Golden Plights in their sights and could challenge the Canucks for the division crown.

The Leafs will eventually find a way to remain loyal to their tradition. If the Leafs fall out of third place, they could quickly find themselves below the playoff line.
