Connor Bedard had surgery to repair his broken jaw which he suffered in a game against the New Jersey Devils and his timeline for a return is much longer than we had previously thought. In the wake of that, we received news today that Samuel Savoie, Seth Jones and Nick Foligno all were on the ice before team practice indicating a possible return to the roster soon. Finally, Ethan Del Mastro has been selected to attend the AHL all-star game in san antonio.
Kirk Day breaks down a new report on Connor Bedard’s injury, some major roster moves that we may see happen in the coming days, and a huge prospect gets added to the all-star game.

its frustrating but at the same time hit was clean and the height difference gave bedard the most unfortunate injury…at least its not a concussion which can hamper bedards career long term so he'll be back healthy and hungry. As for this season I say he still has a chance at rookie of the year and lets see what we get in the draft lottery within top 10 maybe top 5.
Milk is good food, my mom grew up on a dairy farm, and growing up I never had a broken bone. I had my legs crushed between two cars, and had disarranged of the knees but no broken bones. I played every sport and worked construction never a broken bone. I drank milk like a mad man and even today at 61 years old I look pretty young. Milk IS good food.
I don’t think Sam will play in nhl
Dickenson is my pick too….
I figured 6-8 weeks. He’s the franchise and this team is going nowhere this year, so probably 8 weeks minimum. Unless he demands a faster return
Bedard is listed at 4-8 weeks but the t shouldn’t take that long honestly. Jared Tinordi broke his jaw something awful last season and was back in 7 weeks at 31 years old. Connor only has a fractured jaw and is 18…… he will be back sooner than 8 weeks.
Zdeno Chara had his jaw broken in game four then played in games 5,6 and 7.
Lafontaine amd Chara played on
Yeah it’s noticeable Seth Jones isn’t there…bc there hasn’t been as many boneheaded offensive plays and turnovers. When he returns, make him a 4th line forward. I’d rather see the rookies play D.
I think Chicago should pick up Campbell and broberg from Oilers. Campbell will give Chicago a goalie that can get peppered and not worry about and broberg is a young dman that will help them in long term
I think he should take as LONG as possible. This team needs to figure out how to win without him–either by acquiring a couple young players, and the other players to figure it out.
Go leafs go
Sucks that CB will miss the all-star game
this is called, "all your eggs in one basket"
How is this worse than we thought?
A broken jaw is usually 6-8 weeks for a average citizen,4-6 weeks for an athlete that has a high pain tolerance.😬
I sorry but the narrative is clean hit but Smith had every intent to hit him in the head
Not hot take. Vlasic is already way more impactful on the ice than Jones.
