Worst part is the injuries will just make dickless Fitz give Lindy yet another season, which will make next season another punt. It’s awful how we are allowing Fitz and Lindy destroy the entire beginning of the window.
I’m disappointed that we didn’t get at least a point out of this game. Also, pissed at Marino for letting Caufield skate right in front of our goalie for the winner.
Timo just getting back from injury… give him 21 minutes of ice time. Luke is battling a sickness… give him 24 minutes. Holtz scored a goal… get that motherfucker off the ice and keep him under 10 minutes ice time. I fuckin hate that senile wonky eyed fuck Lindy

The loss to Dallas on the 2nd half of the b2b is guaranteed. I’m thinking if we lose to Columbus on Friday and we inevitably lose on Brylin night that Lindy is gone on Sunday.

Not a good game to lose at home. We’re down some shooters but we got beaten to a lot of pucks in both creases. That said, I thought we controlled most of the first and third periods. A pivotal loss..?

I’ll say this. It sucks losing. Especially to bottom 10 teams. But I refuse to just give up on this team. To write them off. It’s been a rough season, sure. Unfortunate even. But I watch the Devils because I ENJOY watching this team. And even tonight I genuinely thought there was a lot to enjoy. Our future is still so exciting. Make the playoffs this year. Don’t. At the end of the day, I’m just as happy to see Nemec, Luke, and all this young talent get creative. Even when it works against us. Something special is happening in Jersey. Those that are bought in are bought in. Those that aren’t…I dunno, become Golden Knights fans I guess?

He limits Holtzs shifts bc he put a puck in middle of ice. The Hughes brothers do same shit 10x a game and get more ice time . This is why we need a coaching change

Hot damn, Lindy getting pressed about Holtz’s ice time and getting sassy with the reporters asking the question. Not disagreeing with Lindy’s assessment (Holtz threw the puck away in the 2nd and directly led to a scoring chance against and needs to know he can’t do that), and I like seeing the emotion from Lindy (finally), but Christ, so many other players on the Devils (Luke/Jack/Smith) do the same thing 5x/game with no consequences. I am though happy to see something other than the team-employee softballs for once.

5:50 ESTOI for Holtz, 12 shifts. One of the better 5 v 5 point producers we have being saddled with AHL plugs.

Watched Timo closely all night. He’s still pretty badly injured. Surprised he got as much ice time as he did.
They gave up 3 goals in front of the net and we have the Vitek Vanacek special for Daws stats. An .880 on 25 shots. All three goals from 5 feet directly in from the net. Thats how you end up with bad goalie stats when the goalie doesn’t stink. A good team should be shut it down against a bad team sometimes. We never do. It’s usually goaltending but it’s either one or the other. Whatever it is we’re not getting results even in these lower shots against games. Teams pick their spots and still win.
They don’t know how to win folks. Haven’t all season. We seem to win more when we don’t deserve to, and teams can squeak out wins when we might have “deserved” to win. But it’s not bad luck at this point. They struggle to turn their effort and successes into points.
Lindy is still sitting Holtz. Play the guy and yell and scream at him or something. Why are you sitting him?

One of those 2nd period goals and this would have been a win. Just not good enough this season.
Jack was let off his leash immediately, same with Luke. They both made so many young and immature mistakes and were allowed to grow and learn from it… Holtz deserves this same treatment, especially considering what he has shown up to this point with limited ice time. I’m so tired of this conservative approach with him. One of the worst moves Fitz made was trading for Toff. Holtz deserved that top 6 role this year and i’m so pissed seeing Toff waste a year of Holtz growth. Along with Lindy fuckin this all up and putting bums like bastian above him.
Lindy Ruff is a historic loser of a coach. Never has won shit. Dominik Hasek gave him a career he didn’t deserve. He went to Dallas and fucking RUINED them. The Stars made this realization and canned his ass. No one wanted to hire him. No one. Relegated to an assistant coach with the Rangers and RUINED the defense. Again, no one was stupid enough to hire him until he was pulled out of the scrap heap as, what, Tom’s 5th or 6th choice!? Awesome.
Now Fitz has determined we are married to this ancient dinosaur because of one good season until the end of time and is going to let him absolutely RUIN this team out of spite toward all of us.
Keep down voting Lindy stans. You guys are made for each other in the pantheon of the Loser Hall of Fame with the likes of Scott Norwood and Sam Bowie.

Devils have a million scoring chances (not all high quality) but get stonewalled. Go down 2-0, realize they can play hockey now (thanks Lindy). Bahl takes a high stick, 4 minute major. Luke scores the first, holtz ties it. Holtz is then benched for 10+ minutes, all while nothing happens on ice. Daws lets up Flukey rebound, devils do devils things around the net, we lose

Given up the first goal 29 times in 41 games. Its that simple. Not absolving the players, and injuries don’t help, but a coaching change was absolutely needed, and its about two months late. Season’s probably a wash at this point.
Just coming back here to say I saw the video of the Novo ask about Holtzy and Lindy’s response, and oh my fucking god.

Complaining about a turnover a guy made that led to a goal against as to why he only got two shifts is why ruff sucks especially when the same guy tied the game up and almost saved your inept fucking ass that over coaches at him (my theory as to why we suck so much at home since he has last change.)

The comments are what I expected. Sucks we couldn’t find a way to suck out at least a point out of this one, sucks even more that we deserved 2. Haula misses a breakaway, Timo had an uncontested 1 on 1, at least 3-4 close attempts from the slot, McLeod missed on a breakaway by inches. Switch to defense and we give up a 2-1 on a bad change and Nemec plays it as bad as you can just floating into the ether not covering the shooter or the pass. We outshoot them 30-25, dominate the face off dot, and go 2/4 on the PP. Not a bad game by any stretch. Lose by 1 to a team that just beat Colorado. Still have a depleted roster. And yet, season is over? Fire Lindy? Waive Vitek? Some of you guys should take a break from sports. Maybe watch the Giants or Jets 🙂
