  1. I really don’t wanna trade lambo or chib for a rental man…. Lucius would be my choice but idk if the values there considering he’s made of glass.

  2. At some point, especially when the team is first in the league, you have to move your first round pick just for the simple fact that there are already is a lot of potential in the system. Lambert and Lucius need time to grow in the AHL/NHL, like Fetti has this season, so the Jets have the luxury of moving that first round pick. Teams get into trouble when they are constantly moving firsts and seconds and the trades don't lead to a Stanley Cup. But with so much potential in the system, I don't think moving one first round pick is going to kill the draft and development of your Winnipeg Jets.

And on top of that, Chevy has made some slick deals involving Vlad and Nino, signing both to extensions, so moving one pick or two picks for a run at the Cup is a good idea IMHO.

This team knows their identity and makes moves accordingly, unlike the Leafs who still haven't figured out what the hell they are doing while tossing around 11 million dollar contracts like they were nothing.

  3. if we plan to go deep, giving up a first round aint a big deal cuz the pick wont be a top 16 pick. If we make the final, we are essentially giving up a 30-32 overall pick. Obviously, if we were a wildcard team right now, we should not risk giving up picks, but we are a top team so we can risk it.

  4. What about Claude Giroux? He'd be the perfect fit. He'd be around for 2 cup runs. That would be perfect!

    Or maybe Shane Pinto?

  5. Tbh jets won’t be dealing any prospects outside of Lucius. If they actually go for Lindholm a 1st, 2nd and Lucius will be enough. That’s two top 40 picks. Avs have nothing to offer nor does Boston

  6. The 2021 Habs went to the final with Danault, Suzuki kotkaniemi and a 40 year old Eric staal

If you’re moving Lucius, lambo or the 1st rounder it should be for one or two big bruising D men

Pick up David savard/Joel edmundson and roll the forward as is

  7. One of the many wonderful things about being a Jets fan is Chevy and what he’s going to do next. Jetland is like an 8 year old kid on Christmas Eve, just giddy with what is going to be under the tree😅

  8. I would go after Lindholm for that price and I would do it sooner than later. But, if you add a piece to the roster you need to make space so someone will go on waivers or get traded. Lindholm under Sutter put up a career season with 42 goals and finished with a +61. The guy can produce and play the defensive game. To me that is a no brainer. I get the Jets are a draft and develop team but when you're this good and have a legit chance you have to go for it. I'm not sitting here every year hoping to get into the playoffs. I want to see the team challenge for a cup. If that means moving a top prospect and a 1st than so be it.

  9. TRY VILARDI AT 2ND LINE CENTER FFS! The Jets have to try Vilardi at 2nd line center before considering any trade. If he sticks there, then problem solved. Connor back & Scheifele's imminent return will most likely reunite the top line of 81-55-27. Vilardi is a natural center & way better than Vlad, so Perfetti would benefit greatly from the upgrade. keeping Iafallo at RW should be ok, but if Bowness is willing to break up the 3rd line a bit, Nino would be a better fit as he's far better offensively. Another reason to try & possibly keep Vilardi at 2nd line Center is saving our trade assets to get another right shot Right Defenseman.

  10. I’m not sure why everyone likes Wpg GM, I hate 90% of his playoff transaction, mediocre at best! Let’s make a slash

  11. Neither Monaghan nor Lindholm have ever won anything or battled that deep into the play offs. Monaghan also doesn’t play with the speed the Jets like to transition with. I’d rather have Brock Nelson ( a play off performer) or even a Pavel Buchnevic type player added to up front. Or they could add Rutger McGroarty and get a top 4 D like Pesce.
