Oliver Kylington is a perfect example of a guy who was a big name prospect who took a bit longer to get to where he is but guys a stud I remember watching him when he was 16 play against the AHL all stars and you could see he was going to be good
Weegar for Chanot? If Calgary is going to go younger they need to be trading for top prospects and picks. Weegar doesn't have a great long term contract but right now weegar is on a good contract.

Why would Ottawa give up the best 2 players in the deal to get that garbage with Weager? Not to mention picking up another goalie for no reason? They already are paying 2 goalies over 2 million a year, don't make sense to get a 3rd. If anything they need to move one of Korpisalo or Forsberg now to free space, NOT pick up another goalie to waste cap space on by paying two guys that much or more to sit on the bench or be lost through waivers for nothing. Get outta here with these dumb goalie trades!
Goaltending isn't going to fix everything. Stutzle, Tkachuk and most of their fowards are terrible defensively. You look at their bottom 6 they got guys like Rourke Chartier, Mark Kastelic and Zack Macewen. It's gotta be the worst bottom 6 in the league.

Worst hot take I’ve ever seen, you’re obviously not a Calgary flames fan. The organization has been patient with Kylington and his coming back to hockey, they aren’t trading him a few days after he just laces up his skates again. Weegar, just signed a no trade clause contract not even 1 season ago. The Flames management would look like morons if they suddenly changed their mind. Jacob Markstrom will only get traded if another team has something really enticing to offer the flames. On top of this you think the Flames are going to ADD on a second round pick as if they haven’t just packaged up their entire playoff chances. What do they get in return? 2 defenceman, which solves a problem they create for themselves in this trade by sending 2 defence the other way. And an okay goal scorer. What the flames actually need without giving up their entire team are pure goal scorers and picks. No defenceman. How do you think the flames get younger when they give away a second round pick?
No way this happens. Calgary has too many UFA complications to start trading signed guys.

Now if this a dream trade then it would be a big blockbuster trade, This would be good for Ottawa a number one goalie and a good defence men. As for Flames is not bad, but I would like some draft picks. Like a 1 round or 2 maybe add a 3 round. If you think that this going really going to happened. This traded is not going to happened. As you have 2 Flames with no traded clause and Markstrom is not going unless the traded is good to be true for both player and team. Now Weegar maybe would wave his no traded clasue as he is from Ottawa. So I hope you are not thinking this really going to happened anytime soon.
