I’m not even a flames fan but I saw that goal called off and had to say something. That was fucking bullshit. The league had to hand Toronto a win
Refs hand the leafs a 4 on 3 when Calgary should have had a power play for no fucking reason, overturn a goal after incidental contact with Coleman’s hand 15 seconds before the goal even though the play was basically completely unaffected, redo a face off Backlund won cleanly. This was one of the most bullshit fixed games I’ve watched in years. Also kind of horseshit you can call a timeout and use it to micro-analyze a play, if you need a TO to be confident enough to challenge then whatever happened didn’t effect the play enough to warrant overturning the goal
I can’t believe that this is what they meant when drafting the hand pass rule.

No goal can be scored as a result of the puck being propelled by the hand of an attacking player regardless if the puck enters the goal directly from the hand or deflects off of any player prior to entering the goal.
