Maybe he wasn’t even talking about Hardman. Maybe it was the wind and he was saying I threw it up farther than that
Hardman has a huge problem. Dude has great linear speed but is S.t.i.f.f. In the hips. Can’t change direction whatsoever. I’ll take a fluid guy any day with 4.5 speed over a guy with a 4.2 who can’t flip their hips or perform any sort of athletic move. It’s been obvious since we drafted him. If you don’t drop it to him in stride he ain’t getting it.

T think Hardmans reaction is that of surprise. He wasn't tracking the ball and finally noticed it.
I like Mecole, but he hasn't been tracking the ball passed to him. I believe he needs to mentally expect balls to be heading his way on every catch so he picks these balls up faster.

You can see in those head on views that Hardman slows down a step at just the wrong time and doesn't track the ball until its too late.

You all know that pass should have been caught and the lack of awareness from the receivers are frustrating .
They should practice those between games.
Hardman tracking skills always been trash. Mahomes was telling him to look up. You already beat your man. Why are you looking back for?! You should be tracking the ball now.

Bro the throw was on point. The WR didn't get his head around after he beat the corner and locate the ball fast enough. Perfect throw by Mahomes, perfect route was ran by the WR and this would of been an easy touchdown if the Dolphins didn't all out blitz. The blitz is why the WR didn't make this play.
Dolphins defensive coordinator called the right play at the right time and forced a pass just fast enough the WR couldn't make the play. It's that simple.
Clearly mahomes is saying i was forced to throw the ball super high and (blitz) heblost it in the lights… hes not crying or frustrated. Its just tragic not being in field goal range and punting the ball…..
