Thanks for the discussion today. I watch the posts every day. Coaching. How long before Torts is replaced? He has a tendency to have a short lifespan. Who would be a good fit for the Flyers, and would he be available in a year, or two?
Assuming Couts is back. 1st move – Stall has to go. 2nd move – either Deslauriers or Hathaway. 3rd move – Brink to Phantoms short term. At this point I'd keep Zamula full-time & Walker as my #7. Rotate up a Phantoms forward for a try-out.
What I think and hope the Flyers do in regards to Dmen.
Walker has been great but he’s going to be traded. Think that was the plan all along it just makes it a little more unclear because he’s been better than expected and is a RH shot.
I’m hoping they can find a taker for Risto. I don’t hate him. But hate his cap hit. And really. If they resign Seeler he’s a much more affordable option on the bottom pair as a defensive guy who gives you some hits/toughness.
The only issue with dealing both Walker and Risto is both are RHD and that would throw the mix out a bit.
But maybe have Sanheim -York stay top pair with Drysdale -Zamula as the 2nd pair for the rest of this season at least to sort it out.
Put Seeler with a call up on the bottom pairing with Stall taking a few games here and there. Hopefully Stall wants to go somewhere else and they can get a low round pick and open a spot up.
It’s a shame Fletcher firstly gave up so much then gave out that contract to Risto because I wouldn’t mind him if paid appropriately and giving them a nice RHD with size on the bottom pairing…. But that contract has to go.
Actually in hindsight. I’d pair Seeler with Drysdale where he could be the defensive consciousness and let Drysdale roam and have Zamula anchor the 3rd pairing with an Andrea or Attard.
I see Drysdale and Bonk as the top 2 RHD in the future so Sanheim will have to make a move back to the left side at some point.
