I remember early in the season Quinn was photographed boarding the team plane with a book… Canucks Twitter was very curious as to what he’s into, and someone ID’d it just from the back cover within hours.

Turns out was a #1 bestseller [self-help book](https://www.amazon.ca/Stay-Sane-Insane-World-Controllables/dp/1665092416) written by Tom Brady’s longtime life coach. Huggy isn’t playing around!

Quinn’s fulfilling his destiny by growing his brain and therefore his head to captain level size.

That’s University of Michigan Scholar Quinnington Hughes to you, good sir!

  5. Wild. Guys been captain less than a year and it feels he’s accomplished more than the entire Bo tenure

I actually really like this leadership group a lot. Quinn is absolutely taking the lead-by-example role excellently, and then I feel like Miller is doing a great job being the mouthpiece for the team… there’s a reason he’s in pretty much every post-game press package. Which I actually like that approach – it lets Quinn focus more on the team and keeping everybody’s head in the game, and Miller just has good media composure and can handle some long interviews and really communicate well what the team’s stance is. You’re not getting much fluff or y’knows or excuses or even any self-aggrandizement. And it makes it feel more like everything they’re doing, all the success, is a TEAM effort. And that is SO important in sports, and IMO hockey especially.

So. When do we start talking about Bo’s leadership as being the problem?? Too soon?

Full credit to his parents for instilling a sense of leadership and maturity in their sons. I’m sure they gave him some words of advice after he was selected as the next captain.

Never underestimate the power of Jim and Ellen Hughes!

I’d like a Hughes reading list tbh

Now get a practice facility… you can’t be a championship club otherwise

I watched this podcast and was disappointed to hear the host laugh when Garland mentioned this.
