Parros could never play, was a goon, and should not be head of player safety,
The amount of bs cousins has gotten away witg this season is atrocious
FLO and BOS and NYR do this all the time and get away with it.
It sorta of reminds me of the Moore on Naslund incident expect moore had picked up the puck and let it go decided to headshot Naslund instead the league didn't handle it properly back then and they are letting players get hit in a vurnable positions the NHL a fk'n joke within it's rule book it doesn't surprise me a bit though it's been going on for such long time.
They should both be suspended.
I was at the game. Both shoulda been suspended, especially with Välimäki just coming off of a broken jaw with a bubble on. I get the contact wasn’t as forceful as it coulda been, but Cousins’ intent to do something like that and get nothing is a joke.
You do see cousins go high and puts himself into the glass to make an attempt to avoid a hard contact. The late hit is unsportsmanlike and petty.
Cousins is a dirty player, always has been. He needs a vacation.

COUSINS got what he deserved his the elbow to the head while the guy was down facing the boards was dirty and uncalled for and yes should of been a penalty being in venerable position he gets away that sht all the time . ZUCKER hit was a game 100% but that is called policing for his team mate witch all players should do. COUSINS i would of done same thing to Cousins in a heat beat and feel no remorse but he might not got up . just saying .
Sheif getting four for the hit on Evans wasnt worse then this… And if cousins gets three for his boarding on Gudbranson, then this would make more sense…

I thought like you (cousins should get something as well for his dirty head hit) before seeing that camera angle. The reasoning for not giving him extra penalty is that it really is up to Valimaky not to drop to his knees voluntarily in the face of pressure (He KNOWS Cousins is coming and is a stride away and is DEFINITELY going to hit him). Valimaky gave Cousins absolutely NO TIME to make another play. In real time, this happens in a quarter of a second. This is a brain fart by him for sure : in the NHL, in that position, you DO NOT drop to your knees.
You should do a comparison of this against the Lomberg hit on Schultz last year, almost identical…not even a fine for Lomberg. You could probably even overlay the audio from the DoPS video and change the names and it would make total sense. Seems like the Panthers are immune to any sort of disciplinary action
I figured 2-3 games for Zucker
It sad, but it probably need some career ending injury or even worse before NHL react and start to give serious penalties to those who make dirty hits. Because NHL dont do it players take justice to they own hands. I am fan of Zucker and i agree 3 game on this, and i understand why he did made hit, but Cousins should have got same punishment too and bigger punishment on his dirty hit to Gudbranson. I am not fan that players need to take justice to they own hands, but i fully understand why they doing it now.
Cousins should have been suspended 10 games for hitting a players head into the boards .
While jumping with his feet off the ice at contact .
Florida has more than a few dirty players . Cousins ,Bennet Tkachuk.

Putting Timothy Liljegren out for weeks with high ankle injury .
Boston scored on the play as Marshand got an assist because Timothy Liljegren the defensive player wasn't able to help .No penalty no retalyton.
Department of player safety is a fucking joke.
