I watched one of our centers win a faceoff, the puck drifts back behind them and TWO TAMPA PLAYERS are there fighting eachother for the puck first. This team is a complacent mess of lazy skill players that would dick around in their own end instead of playing hard and battling in the tough areas. They will not get better until someone lights a fire under their ass. I dont wanna be that guy that says “put me out there ill play harder than them…” but ffs most nights id atleast be backchecking harder than them and throwing my body in front of the goalie.
I am not good at hockey, but i give 110%, i backcheck, fight for pucks, put my body in the shooting lane, keep an active stick. The little things, the hard work, the stuff that doesnt show up in the stat sheet but helps your teammates play a better game. No one on this team cares enough to do any of that and its a shame bc they make 6-7 figures playing a gd game. You want the fans to show up and cheer instead of empty barns and boos, how about you start playing like you give a fuck instead of this pathetic excuse for hockey i see.
Fuck man its my bday and 2 years in a row i watch this team not give a fuck… i almost yeeted my jersey im so pissed. I get it, refs screwed ya, but ffs you cant put in the effort to backcheck?

A couple guys on our team just had babies. If you think that doesn’t affect them you’re wrong. I have been following players on our teams and throughout fantasy and the production of a player falls when they have a kid. Either they aren’t sleeping or their hearts are in a different place but it clearly makes a difference on the ice.
