This is just a 3 goalie rotation with extra steps

It’s objectively the right move with the way UPL is playing and the way that Levi isn’t playing at all. Hope it benefits them both (plus I’d really like to see Levi play when the Amerks come to Belleville)

Levi seemed to have a good time in Rochester before and hopefully Comrie has gotten back up to pace. Upie is definitely the main guy now

Good. Leave him down there for the season, let him go on a playoff run.

One thing I’ve learned, in all of sports guys like Nathan Peterman and Eric Comrie continue to get shots strictly because people making personnel decisions value vibes/intangibles more than results.

Yes, send Levi down. Obviously. But they needed to trade for an actual backup goaltender first. He’s gonna post something like a .778 three times at which point they’ll have to call Levi back up. They’ve solved nothing.

  6. We finally did something right. I’m just so damn proud of this org right now 🥹

Levi probably never should have come back up. I think the kid is our future #1 still… but he needs to stay in Rochester the rest of the season and be their #1. If UPL continues to play well, I’m comfortable saying Levi should be in Rochester all of next season too. How many seasons was Miller in Rochester? Goalies take a while.

  8. This is 100% a move to prep for a comrie trade. They need him to bank a couple good games ahead of the trade deadline for a team that has injuries and needs a backup or depth goalie ahead of playoffs.

  9. Comrie sucks but this should have been done weeks ago.

Now go get Elvis Merzlikens. I know, his contract is terrible. Maybe Columbus eats half. Maybe they throw Buffalo an asset. At any rate, I’d rather have a bad contract than Levi in Buffalo and possibly ruining his development

They got to the right answer via a meandering path. That’s how it’s been working out lately. Whatever. Keep solving problems and hopefully we get where we want to go.

Comrie had a 1.67 GAA and .951 Sv% in 3 games down in Rochester including a shutout, with the Amerks going 2-1 in those 3 games. Hopefully he can bring that positive momentum up for the few games he starts in relief of UPL

Levi needs playing time. He playing for Rochester makes sense.

I wonder if Comrie could be a tradeable asset leading up to the trade deadline.

Lance already said it’s basically just for this game. Which I can’t seem to wrap my head around the purpose if he’s not gonna stay and get reps but I guess we shouldn’t expect much more to make sense, never does
