Seeing that scene with Roy and Tremblay for the first time in years triggered my PTSD. Happy he’s back, Imma celebrate under the shower in foetal position.

Glad he's back but idk if that's a great place for him. Not sure if the NY fans will embrace him and going into a struggling team is always hard for head coach. Wish him the best obviously though, we'll see.

To bad the habs didn't get him. We need someone behind the bench who can actually see over the boards. We were a day to late .. Now we are stuck with a midget who managed a 9-4 loss Against our arch rival Boston and sent down the leagues number 1 tough guy….. Geeze Louise! Habs are freaking Dooomed! Heads would roll from a Boston loss if i were the GM. What a disgrace. 🤢
This is a great move even if it turns out bad lol. First of all, Roy alone will make people buy tickets. He is an emotional coach sure. But this is what real hockey is about. Emotions. If the players don't get riled up, they will underperform. Roy is also a very good coach, mixing tactics with emotion, he's also the one who started the trend of removing your goalie way ahead of the expected time so he's the kind of guy who thinks outside the box which is great. The only issue with Roy is that he likes to lead and if someone gets in his way, trouble will come. But I am sure the Islanders' management know this and that they talked about it behind closed doors.
Also on a side note IMO this proves all those hockey "insiders" are full of BS. Only one guy was a real insider in his career; Bob McKenzie. No one saw it coming. Insiders named like half of the NHL when it came down to Roy being hired. They failed big time. Again. Insiders just rely on rumors and plausibility just like the rest of us. They're like car salesmen, they make it seem like they know things in and out but they don't know any more than you and I.

Always Loved Roy's 🔥 . As a young lad, I always was top 2 or 3 on my team in PM's as a goaltender as well. My biggest regret playing is I could never find a dance partner for a Goalie fight!
