  1. Elliotte may get a call from the 201 Area Code? I guess that means Lou Lamoriello has kept his mobile phone number from his time with New Jersey. Can't imagine Lou still living in North Jersey and commuting to Long Island.

  2. man, it’s only common sense that the 2nd go around as a coach is best, the first time is a learning experience and the third time your jaded; and Elliot enough with the affected voice, please.

  3. As an Isles fan, I am STOKED about the Roy hire. Isles just got a lot better, Roy's energy is now working for the Islanders. Awesome.

  4. I think Patrick Roy will be very beneficial for the Islanders with his excellent coaching abilities and abilities to motivate his players combined with eye for detail and passion for the game. He also has “presence
    as a coach!

  5. Yes, Roy is a quitter. What Lamoriello doesn't realize is he has just instituted a tank. The problem for the New York Islanders is their line-up. They are too old. They are dreadful defensively. Carter Hart has crumpled two years in a row under this kind of shot count and the fact that Sorokin hasn't yet is just another check mark for him.

1976 Canada Cup? Bobby Orr, on one leg, Dennis Potvin Young and angry and loaded for bear, Larry Robinson, Serge Savard , Guy Lapointe and Jimmy Watson and Carol Vadnais on defense. Gilbert Perreault at his height, Bobby Hull, Guy Lafleur, Bobby Clarke, Phil Esposito, Richard Martin, Reggie Leach, Bill Barber, Darryl Sittler, Danny Gare, Steve Shutt, Lanny MacDonald and Pete Mahovlich at forward. The goalies were Rogie Vachon, Gerry Cheevers, and Glenn "Chico" Resch.

    Best defense ever. Great choice.

That Steeler 35 Cowboy 31 Super Bowl was one of the greatest ever. Wasn't that Stallworth's great superbowl Or was it Swan again?
