I feel like Roy is another Berube, the perfect coach to kick older, underperforming teams in the ass and get them playing to their potential. In short, not a fit for a retooling Blues team that needs to develop younger players.

I wondered about this when I saw he was hired. He has a great record coaching junior teams, so I would think he’d be able to coach up our young guys.

  3. Very surprising. It tells me that Armstrong still believes he’s constructed a playoff roster and is looking for someone to motivate them properly.

Could be fun and intriguing. I’d be happy they didn’t go for one of the regular coaching carousel hires like Boudreau or Gallant (not that they’re bad…I just like different voices).

That being said, I doubt he’s *the right guy for the job*.

My dream hire (that won’t ever happen) is Rickard Gronborg.

    But I’m weird.
