Best Flyers game I’ve ever fucking watched
I haven't felt this way about a flyers team in years. The last time I can remember feeling this way is back in the early 2010s. I hope we keep this up. Everyone needs to remember something about this team. They don't even have Mitchkov yet. And Hart hasn't played in ages. The sky is the limit for this team.

Torts has them playing great hockey but I for one don't believe in statement games. I go as Torts doesn't we are going to practice and get ready for our next game. He want them to play hard every game no statement games and he doesn't look at the standings. Torts says they play every game for each other. Danny might have some tough decisions when the TDL comes around if they continue to play well
When drysdale has the puck on a powerplay it just feels different, the way he skates
Danny shouldn't be adding at the TDL if he add it should be picks and prospects. I m thinking they may not trade Walker or anyone if they indeed make the playoffs. They could wait and trade in the off-season before and during the draft. I'm thinking g they may keep walker and seeler and try to resign both and they need to resign Tippett pay the man.

All the new management including the coaches need to be thanked for the way the team is playing. Torts and Rocky need to be congratulationed with the way our defense is playing. Our D was thought to be our weakness but it's really our strength along with have two great goalies and our forwards playing fantastic.

I like to call this " The Tortorella effect ".
This is a long one from observations of the past month and especially after the Drysdale trade. Mostly degeneracy because I'm too pumped for this team to be formal, they just put themselves on the map and have the eyes of Philadelphia on them now.
Owen Tippett is out here playing like he's playin NHL EASHL back when he was a kid with the spin-o-rama backhander, but irl. Just FILTHY. And that man has taken a LEAP in skating. Something that stood out, it takes him 2 – TWO – Strides to get from the half wall circle to behind the net from being stationary off wall play. That is QUICK and POWERFUL, explosive skating. No wonder he's the fastest NHL skater currently. And the Red Rifle is quickly becoming the Red Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle all those shots and hits!
Torts has these guys so bought in. Based off their comments. This is an iron on iron, metal against metal situation. Like a goddamn master blacksmith. Flyers stated they struggled a bit at home because they hear the crowd goin, they're pumped and a bit overly excited and just off the mark and have been working to get what they show on the road back here. Then here comes Torts – with his pragmatic, cerebral blueprint and knowledge of the game. That he's mastered and created throughout the years. Being used to temper and forge this raw material into one hell of a beautiful and deadly weapon.
I think you stick with the plan. But some minor moves to add wouldn't be amiss at the deadline. The team is very good as constructed and will only get better if the Flyers finally play their cards right. If it makes sense, add but don't go crazy. Though, I'd also argue Drysdale counts as that already and it's big. An actual lateral blueline bluechip right handed PP captain to shore up the team's biggest weakness in a MASTERFUL trade by DB from a terrible situation that has seemed to galvanize both the city and the team! Stuff gives me vibes of the Cliff Lee trade in 2009.

Holy smokes, what a turnaround. These guys have been good all year, the one flaw was they weren't producing offensively at home and it sounds like that was because of nerves. And if they're locked in on Torts message and they rally on that and stay within themselves like he wants and channel that passion and fury and desire to perform and put on a show, with no nerves? Oh yeah, there's gonna be some FUN times in WFC!
Just a wonderful month from a franchise that just seemed to cruise through some of the biggest adversity they've seen since the beginning of Keith Jones and Danny Briere's Tenures. A unfairly hard first time situation very early on – handled like seasoned veterans of the FO game. Very hopeful for the future on all levels for this organization right now.
Side note: I HIGHLY recommend watching Torts post presser. You can see the basic coach speak drop a bit and he starts getting in depth about what the boys did well before he catches himself. Listen to that and you can see why these guys are so locked in. Such a great knowledge of the game, effortlessly spoken and understandable and that was just based off memory of a game they just played with no tape!

To be fair the ‘12 kings had a ton of talent and shouldn’t have only been an 8th seed, they had richards, Carter, Williams, kopitar, brown, Gagne, penner, Doughty, Martinez, voynov and quick. This team is good and I think they could out score the canes in a playoff series but the question is can they take on a Vegas or a Colorado in a 7 game series and I don’t think they can yet but people have to remember they still have two firsts this year and mitchkov to go along with a very solid prospect pool. This team is young and it’s going to get even more talent to go with their work ethic
I geuss im the only one that was hoping well not hoping but wanted another top 5 draft pick this year just so we can keep building up this team with great young players i just want the flyers to get their own Coner Bedard or a jack hughes i know we got Michkov but when the hell will.he actually play for the flyers lol. But we need another 1 or 2 of that same caliber but thats just me lol

I'm still too nervous to get excited but damn I love this team. This is the fastest Flyers team I've ever seen. Torts has them putting constant pressure on the other team making them play under duress. You can see that teams are wearing down against the Flyers. They don't want to or can't play at our pace. Love the Drysdale addition as well.
