The thing is, Perry didn't get let go from Chicago for anything related to his play or his attitude in the dressing room. He got let go because of a personal matter, outside of his on ice responsibilities. As much as I dislike his game, he is a player that you would rather have on your team than have to face ever. As for what happened in Chicago, I think it's irrelevant. The NHL would not have cleared him to play if it was something outside of a personal matter.

I actually do not think this is a good move. It just seems Corey Perry is chasing for another Cup, having been on the Lightning, Stars and Canadiens, and he doesn't care what team he plays for and is a Cup Contender. I hope that I am wrong here and this is a great fit in Edmonton and gets huge goals. Also who would he be taking out or playing less? Derek Ryan?

How will the Oilers get the cap hit from to aquire the Perry curse. Perry is the biggest jerk on skates. First kane now the worm.
Probably the only team situated in a playoff position to make the dirty player an offer. Perry and Kane will get into it in no time.
I can see Kane, Holloway, and Perry playing together on 4th line. Then switch to First line with McDavid/Hyman/RNH so much offense for opposing team to handle. Second line with Leon and Warren more fire power!

Perry is a great signing for Edmonton. Dunno what happened in Chicago and frankly donāt care. He can play, is strong and the Oilers are a better team now than they were before
