Corrado: ‘The Oilers are the best team in the NHL right now’

Jay Onrait was joined by TSN Hockey analyst Frankie Corrado to get his thoughts on the Jets’ 34-game streak without allowing three or more goals, what an ideal addition would be for both Winnipeg and Vancouver before the deadline, if the Oilers are the best team in the NHL right now, and more.

  1. im not a big conspiracy guy but it is interesting to me that Perry was on the TERRIBLE Blackhawks team he gets drunk at a company event a little disorderly conduct ( and honestly it seems weird to me that Perry got fired for getting drunk at a company party. I mean who hasnt done that unless u dont drink?) he gets fired and suddenly he immediately goes to Edmonton where he can win. Coincidence?

  2. Ya whatever Frankie. Look at their streak, not exactly murderers row. Somehow the Canucks have 3 more points than them in their last 20 games and whooped them 3 times. Nucks are only team that hasn't lost 3 in a row. Something like 30-0 taking a lead into the 3rd. The Canucks are the best team in the NHL right now. Winnipeg, Boston and Colorado round out the top 4. 5th best team right now? I'll give you that.

  3. Perry hand picked the Oilers? Word out there was nobody wanted this guy and his "secret" coming back to haunt them. Look for Cody Hodgson to center their 3rd line soon.

  4. At this time the Oilers might very well be the NHL's best team right now at the halfway point of the season. The marathon known as an NHL season will continue to unfold. Stay tuned folks. Go JETS.

  5. The NHL is a horrible league and that’s the truth. You can be 10 games out of a playoff spot and somehow still make it during the 84 game season.

  6. You can go to the same narrative as was said about the canucks start, who have the oilers really played in this 13 game stretch, not any real contenders

  7. As an oilers fan who cares about right now, all that matters is what ya do in ploffs. And even I wouldn’t say there the best right now, still the canucks

  8. Frankie is high every time the Canucks seem to be passed on by analysts. I hope that Vancouver or Boston wins and makes them eat there words

  9. For Jets they should get right shot D like Tanev he also played here with old Moose.
-Ship out Stanley+Maybe a Schmidt/Pionk make money work for tanev.
And a Depth Center like a Monahan type another multi tool player similar Namestnikov who can play anywhere in lineup incase of injury.

  10. Vancouver would be better served with another big versatile defenceman……help remind analysts who the Oilers are chasing.
