Unaware of shirt scams

Someone posted a picture of this shirt about a week ago… I thought, “what the heck?”. My wife and daughter are Swifites and I’m a Barzie, so thought it would be funny to have almost matching shirts. Later saw the post was deleted after a u/ mentioned a scam.
Well… the shirt showed up today and I gotta say, what a colossal piece of crud! It’s obviously a heat press/iron on situation, they didn’t bother to trim the image so you can feel the rough texture of the iron-on material 2 inches past the image. As for the image… I didn’t know you could print jpg’s on iron-on material through a dot matrix printer.
I received the shirt in about a week, so can’t really say I was scammed, but I will say to be wary because the quality is 💩

I’m assuming the post said something along the lines of “It’s so beautiful!😍” or “I love it! 😍” or something vague like that? Yeah, those are always bullshit.
