Jets and Jackets both traded players that didn't want to be there to destinations that they did not want to be in. PLD was a cancer in Columbus and The 'Peg. Seriously, we went from being a 9th place team last year just missing the playoffs again and again, to the best record in the NHL with a few youngsters from L.A. added to the roster. Couldn't be happier to abandon that stray on the side of the road.
Dubois makes it really obvious but be realistic Zegras,Heatley/Kane in past these guys arnt willing to do anything to win they basically want a retirement home/contract where light on them isn't bright and can coast.
There's alot more bigger names we just don't want to call them out.
Bertuzzi and Brodie for PLD. Leafs open cap space and the Kings rid themselves of a massive contract.

First off I never would have made this trade if it included villardi.
That being said I am disappointed in Dubois numbers so far.
But look at who he's been playing with a winger that has been waived and went unclaimed and a rookie that would not have even been on the team if not for the back injury to Ardvanson.
As far as recent changes go it appeared that reason for Dubois being moved to the top line was Byfields poor play the last ten games.
A move made that could help both players turn things around.
Well knuckle head McClellan gave this all of 5 periods to work.
You also have to consider what kind of production would danault and Kopitar if they played with the same wingers that Dubois has?

I guess that we will see but he's here and hopefully he'll get an opportunity to play much better.
And Don't forget that he played on the top line in Winnipeg last year as villardi is now.
I wish that we would have had the opportunity to see villardi with Kopitar and kempe.

Love the channel, but please stop saying "lax-adaisical" it's "lack" as in lacking. It's pronounced "Lack-a-daisical". I hear Devil's broadcaster Ken Daneyko say it incorrectly all the time and it makes him sound like an idiot. 😂
Some players with a lot of talent just don’t fit in at the NHL level.
What a disappointment this guy has been. All the talent in the world and he just doesn’t really care. A true waste of elite talent.
If I'm not mistaken, PLD even complained himself out of his junior club too.

the first thing I noticed game 1 was how slow he is, and saw people commenting about how explosive his game is lol. I don't really understand the defenders. I don't think he's terrible, but he definitely wasnt worth villardi, iafallo, kupari, and a 2nd round pick. Villardi was injury prone, but he also has amazing hands and was super quick on the draw. So far PLD is just a slow lumbering roadblock that has made a few good passes and knows how to draw a penalty but can barely skate past a defender. Not impressed at all
