They’d better figure it out. Way too many goals against. Too many early holes. Dumb penalties and too little too late pushes. 18 goals against in 3 games. That’s abhorrent

  2. trevallen39

Tampa’s PP won them the game. Can’t take penalties. That’s it. That’s the difference. Outplayed them 5on5

  3. StubbornLeech07

Just a reminder of how far away we really are despite how well they have played this season.

  4. thisappsux24

We’re still winning more than losing. But losing sucks. Sorry guys

  5. DudicalAwesome

When your season’s success has been due to defense and goaltending and you’re letting in 5 plus goals a game, you no longer have success – some guy

  6. SwizzyStudios

Tampa Bay is too quick on the skates to pull Ersson when we’ve been turning it over like we were. Really missing the speed and accuracy of OT

  7. Gotta get to the root of this…which one of you just started watching the games starting from the avs?

  8. Flyers098

The team that comes back but never finishes the comeback lol

  9. JohnKrukIsAllElite

Don’t let the scores fool you.

This was much closer than the Sens game.

I feel good about their trip to Detroit.

  10. EastCoastTaffy

    Basically the Avs game repeated.

Outplayed them for most of the game, couldn’t hold down their superstars on the power play. GG.

  11. GimmickyBulb

I have no panic with the showings against the Avs and the Bolts. We’re skating right with the best of the best. We have some learning still to do, but this is a good team.

  12. AppearanceKey2170

we turning in to a pumpkin? I still believe

  13. Gonna put this out here, obviously we gotta clean up the defense and penalties but I’m not worried about wins moving forward. They put hustle almost every team they lose to and their fate is in their hands with the defense playing better and cleaning up penalties. I’m confident Torts will help steer the ship.

  14. Perryplat199

    3 games in a row M. T. Net .000 SV%. Dudes got to go.

  15. haloranges

Drysdale and Ersson carried otherwise the score differential would be a lot worse

  16. Trying to think positively with all the rough news today, I ordered my first jersey a week or so ago and picked Ersson, and now he’ll almost certainly be starting when I wear it to see them against the penguins on the 25th.

  17. cornflower123

Our lack of top tier talent was shown in full here…

  18. Kmactothemac

Tough one. Bit of a wake up call for this young team after that 5 game win streak, gotta like how we fought to come back against the Avs and Lightning though, two really tough teams

  19. thatdudefromthattime

That’s a little bit rough, they keep coming back

  20. Roll-Me-Through

Ers got the Carter Hart treatment tonight. Kills the stats of a good goalie

  21. Flyers098

Torts basically just said Tampa Bay stinks but they have a good pp 😆

  22. NeonBlack985

Gotta keep reminding myself it’s a rebuild year, and their success so far is simply gravy. I’ve been very impressed and very disappointed in this team. I’ll be extremely curious to see what they do at the trade deadline

  23. brewcrew2_2

Kucherov, MacKinnon, and McDavid all with insane games against us leading to losses. Are we just victims of catching these guys at the wrong time or is it too much to ask for us to give up fewer than 4 points per game to the generational talents of the NHL whenever we play them?

  24. schazamoo

Love another team getting a hat trick on us from an empty netter, twice in one week. Don’t know what that means but it’s weird

  25. GimmickyBulb

NBC camera man has been drinking with this shot on Sam. … the cameraman is just like us 🥹

  26. Roll-Me-Through

remember when pulling the goalie was only ever for like the very last 60 seconds of a game

  27. Well the positives:

Frost continues to look great which bodes very well long term. Hes looking more and more like a bona fide 2C which is extremely key going forward. Just needs to stop starting the season so poor.

    Drysdale 1st goal

    Farabee is a stud

    Atkinson is back

But no Tippett and TK not playing at his best leaves a lot to be desired offensively. Completely lacks that high end game breaking ability if TK or Tippett arent clicking.

I wish Couturier would have more offensive killer instinct like earlier in career. The guy was a top line scorer and elite 5v5 scorer in his day. He would routinely score one timers on the PP and have nice snipes. Not sure if he has a snipe all season.

  28. Perryplat199

Who’s ready for something to direct anger at. This all started after the epic sax guy meme came out.

  29. maskdfantom

Too much firepower for the Bolts. Really shows what elite talent can do

  30. garamondo

Gotta bounce back Thurs to prevent potential 5-game slide into the break (ASG + bye week, off from 1/28 until 2/6 @ FLA). This stretch of 4 straight vs Atlantic is rough, but nothing compared to the 7-game stretch in mid-March from @ FLA til @ NYR)

    [Schedule](https://www.hockey-reference.com/teams/PHI/2024_games.html)

Really good thing they’ve banked points and built good systems + incredible buy-in. Remaining schedule is tough, with only 2 “easy wins” in 16 remaining between now and Trade Deadline (Fri 3/8)

    >**34 remaining games**

    >**4** back-to-backs (including vs NYR then @ PIT)

    >

  31. Evrytimeweslay

I usually get to go to maybe one game a year… too bad it was this one. Let’s hope they can stop the skid.

Gotta vent real quick too, we were in really nice seats and these kids right behind us were the most irritating people I’ve ever sat by, like worse than the drunk college students at Phillies games. 9-11 year old boys, no parental supervision, would not shut the hell up the entire game. They even made fun of the mites on ice. One of them was complaining he’d rather be home playing fortnight. Like do you have any idea how much those fucking seats cost kid? Okay sorry for the rant guys.
