I hope people show up to support them if we do get a team. New leagues run pretty tight margins going to have to be some decent showings in the stands pretty quickly. To my understanding the league isn’t subsidized by the NHL so I’m thinking it’s a boom or bust situation. Seems like the other markets are above water through so that’s a good sign.

The PWHL is amazing. I hope they bring a team here and I would support them so quick. I really hope the NHL looks at making a true women’s league and gives them support. I think the WNHL would be amazing with NHL support. If that doesn’t happen, I hope the PWHL continues to prosper and hope Pittsburgh gets a team very soon.

I would assume Pittsburgh and Philadelphia would both get teams in the next expansion….OR they will call the team Pennsylvania and split time between both cities.

I’ve watched some PWHL (YT, not on ESPN +, TTBOMK). Good stuff. Two things: One, the league is a LOT more physical than one might expect. Two, after this season, can we PLEASE relegate those gawd-awful jerseys to the “Never again, not even for retro-retro-throwback night”?
