    VP just needed ice time to gain his confidence, which Green was never going to give him. I feel he has to be a bit more greedy and, and shoot the puck more.

    I think for maybe the last four games he has been their best player all round. A star player dominates and at times he dominates. The scoring seems to be coming around as well. Also think he is one of the fastest on the team. He has been good for a long time now. I agree his confidence is way up. First line center? Also thought this day would come after seeing a few highlights in his last season in the KHL. I saw good speed. And he would bury it at the side of the net.

    If we look at Draisaitl, the guy didn't do that well in the first half season he played, year 2 he stepped it up to about 50 points, which is do-able for Podz, and then real explosion in year 3. But really struck me on the comparison because in year 1 and 2, Draisaitl's teammates raved about his ability and vision on the ice, those little details with players that you practice with everyday don't really escape their eyes. That shot definitely is going to see more action next year.

    I believe Podkolzin is still growing into his frame and if he can keep his size and skill he can be a good prospect. I'd like to see him playing on the 2nd line next season Podkolzin Pettersson Hoglander. Can be an elite scoring line next season.

    Pod has good size and soft hands, a rare combination in a player, so the ceiling is quite high for him. It sounds from Bo and Miller that the kid has very good work ethics, which goes a long way to fine-tune his skills. I am excited of what he can bring to the team next year.

    For picture day, I'm just glad to see Boeser and Brandon Sutter there… somehow I feel we will not see them again next year, and I will especially miss Boeser.

    As a fan of another team from the outside looking in, I think it's pretty important for Podkolzin to fulfill his expectations at such a high pick. Vancouver got lucky in that draft – Hoglander should have went a lot higher compared to his peers – but Podkolzin definitely has to justify being picked over Matt Boldy, Cole Caufield, Alex Newhook, etc. I hope Horvat and Miller are right.
