How One Player Is Destroying the LA Kings Promising Season
The offseason acquisition of Pierre Luc Dubois was seen as one of the biggest coups for the LA Kings, but it isn’t working out for them. Worse: Dubois is now actively hurting the Kings.
I was another one that said it was risky for Blake to make that move. Dubois is at best a 2C. Not good defensively and not always great ES production. A lot to give up in assets and cap space for him to be the 3C.
PLD was always that player who didn't seem to care on the ice. He'll just skate around and then head back to the bench and wait like it's practice. There's no jump, no fight in him as if he's afraid he might suffer a groin strain if he skated too hard.
part of building a winning team is building it with players who WANT to win first , not just get a big bag ( i get ithat they only have so many major earning years but still , pull atom brady and take some off the top )and think about how nice it would be to win one day . The players who will hustle, who respond well to being benched and criticism , who notice their flaws and work to fix them , who buy in to the coaches system, who admit their mistakes,etc.
PLD is absolute trash. First of all get rid of Blake for bringing him to the Kings. Then can Mr. Reverse sweep himself Todd McSuck, and lastly buy out PLD at all costs. He's so garbage. 7 1/2 more years of this bum. What a joke.
Kings should have done their homework before acquiring PLD and then signing him for 8 years. PLD has never been known to put the extra effort and is never happy where he plays. Not happy in Columbus, not happy in Winnipeg.😮
La needs to get rid of pld after this season. Unfortunately any team that might be able to hold him responsible (Tampa,Boston,Vegas or Dallas) probably won't take a crack at him.
PLD played his best in Winnipeg,lianai played his best in Winnipeg but both of them got big heads with the success and thought the could play better elsewhere. There’s so many players like that. They are young and don’t know any better.

Like why trade for Dubois when you could have traded for Hellybuck? Like they had a lack of centers
PLD was a bum in Columbus, A bum in Winnipeg and proving to be a bum in LA. Glad that the habs stayed away. Would have been an other Drouin.

Was so glad to see LA take on PLD in that trade. I knew they would be crappier with him in the line up.

PLD has been one of the most overrated guys. He's happy that he got a fat wayy too big paycheck.
Keep in mind, there were some Jets thoutht that wanted to ditch Scheifele and build the team around Dubois…
One man can't be the problem for the entire team, Kings as a team are losing to teams 500 or lower, their OT and SO performance is awful.

WPG won this trade by just getting PLD off their books. Let alone they got Vilardi, Iaffalo, Kupari and a 2nd round pick. MUHUHAHAHAHAHA
