i remember paul coffy did the same thing with the redwings when he played for them 94-95 season cant recall wat team they were playing but they shot the puck off the boards behind the net and he shot it in his own goal not really the same as wat Pittsburgh did but same results! lol 🤷♂️🤔👍

NJ fan love the extension. A vote of confidence during some tough times is a good thing. He’s done alot to get this team to be competitive. Devils window has just opened even with the bump in the road this year.

Pretty interesting Fitz gets extended when I've been starting to question his leadership due to the lack of goalie help and hiring Ruff to an extension…definitely quite a few questionable moves lately including Toffoli (despite his hat trick he is maybe the worst defensive forward I've watched)
I’m almost sure that Vancouver scored an empty net goal against themselves on a delayed penalty against the Flames a few years ago. Remember because it was the season opener and that was technically the Flames 1st goal of the season, and they didn’t even shoot the puck. Not sure why that wouldn’t show up when you looked it up though…
As rare as that own goal is, we almost saw Quinn do the same thing at almost the same time TWICE in Vancouver. When I got the discord ping that there was an own goal I honestly thought the Canucks had done it and my stream was just behind. 😊

Mitts has greatly improved since the beginning of last season but his name keeps coming up as a blue chip trade prospect.
To heck with that. Problem is Buffalo’s gap btw players like Mitts, upcoming prospects like Rosen, and oft-vanishing acts like Olofsson makes it difficult to acquire needed value players: give up what’s needed to acquire what’s needed, so you stay in place.

Bowness made the wrong call in pulling Hellebuyck. Anyone watching the game could see that Winnipeg wasn't coming back from a 2 goal deficit with less than 2 min remaining — especially with Schiefele and Vilardi out. He should have preserved the streak and gave the team something to shoot for in their next game (Toronto)
Tom Fitzgerald in his presser talked about how he learned patience. Fans don't often think patiently. It's game to game if not period to period. He's set this team up for success. It's easy to forget the window just opened for them.
Fitz didnt solve the goalie problem ?…interesting Devils fans have been telling me all summer and season that Akira Schmid was the savior and taking them to a Stanley Cup…lol guess not
In the 2019 AHL playoffs, Chicago Wolves goalie Oscar Dansk was credited with a goal with out shooting the puck. After making a save San Diego put the puck in the empty net on a delayed penalty. Because Dansk was the last Wolves player to touch the puck he was credited with the goal.
