Johnny Kovacevic would rocketship those stats if we’d put him at forward

This reminds me of when Caufield and Suzuki had like 38 points in 22 games or smth last season and we thought they were 100 point players. Good memories

And in the top for goal by defensemen so it evens out 🙂

  5. Right now we have Suzuki who is probably a good 2nd line center and Caufield who with the right line mates is a legit 1st line wing. That’s it.

Thank God Brobrov knows that we dont really need more offence since we have young guys that will keep getting better and better.

  7. Oh, that’s a good news. I thought we are 40th.
I think we over-rate our Suzuki and Caufield. They are good, and yes they are our best players. But out there, there are many many better players than them.

These are the stats that worry me when you think about how we took Reinbacher over Michkov

Y’all can cry all you want about Suzuki and Caufield, but they aren’t the big problem here.

Let’s assume that Suzuki was currently on pace for 30 goals and Caufield was on pace for 40 goals… Nick would have 17 goals (5 more) and Cole would have 22 (6 more) right now.

We’d still just be 29th in goals with 104 goals by forwards. I’m not too concerned with them (as they have been pretty unlucky this year to be honest), I’m just concerned about finding other forwards that could also consistently score 20+ goals.

I mean, who do we expect to score outside of Nick and Cole? Most of our second line is injured, and our third is a medley of bad contracts.

Not sure why they’d trade Monahan then but eh

  12. And I’m sorry to say. Our forward prospects aren’t riddled with high end offensive talent either
