UPDATE: The #RedWings today recalled Brogan Rafferty from the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins. Additionally, the Red Wings have activated Ville Husso from IR and loaned him to the Griffins for conditioning, and placed Patrick Kane on IR retroactive to Jan. 14.

Snip/Snap/Snip/Snap with the paper transactions for Rafferty. Getting near double the pay to sit in the press box would get him ahead on rent. It’ll be interesting to see how Husso looks in GR rehab games.
Good to see Husso back and could definitely use the conditioning stint.
On Kane, he’s eligible to come off that IR at any time because it’s more than 7 days after the retroactive date. They put him on IR because Husso is still on the roster while on his conditioning stint

Brogan Rafferty in 2024
As a reminder, IR only requires 7 days stay and allows the team an extra roster spot while said player is on IR.
In the his case, Kane is ***already eligible to return from IR at any point bc it’s retroactive to 11 days ago.*** This likely means nothing about injury severity or timeline (beyond tonight’s game, of course) and is purely a paper move.
Rafferty is crushing it at racking up those Enterprise points in 2024.
Husso is just warming up so he can hopefully come back and play be back up while we trade Reimer.
Bro go is just hanging out I’m case we lose another d-man while Chariot is out until after the break.
88 on IR just means we can call up another forward the next 2 games if someone gets hurt. Kane is out until after the ASG just like Chariot
Smart move on the Kane front. Unfortunate with the long home-stand, but the right move. No need to rush back for 1 or 2 games before a week long break.
BRO
Am I the only one who fucking hates the mixed fonts? My god is that garish.
Husso better not be coming back as anything more than backup. Lyon earned the slot, he is doing phenomenol and I think he should get the #1 spot. Send Reimer to GR for conditioning.
