It’s awful and it’s , in my opinion, not fixable.
True they all need their asses handed to them. There is no leader on this team. Trouba is a mono-tone voice. Who seems to have given up. Reaching for positives , which a few and far between This team needs these guys to really really take responsibility for the poor play and not shrug it off
And the only way we will even see that is by their effort

Give Em Hell, Evan. They really deserve it. The problem is that nobody wants to listen to me & keeps making excuses about why Alexis Lafrenniere should be on The Trocheck Line, not The Kid Line. As I've said until I have no breath, we all need to Apologize To David Quinn (he'd had it right, so far, in that, The Kids are nothing more than A Decent/OK Priced 3rd Line that had Good Chemistry together). I'm not saying that they'll never be more than that, but, as of yet, they're not as good as The Fans Want Them To Be. I have also said that, no matter what Igor Shesterkin issues, he's not the #1 Goalie right now (it is Jonathan Quick), however, it is apparently more important to give LaF & he encouragement, rather than Find A Way To Win Games With The Best Players (I'd try Jimmy Vesey higher in the lineup). Peter Laviollette has got to get A Dose Of Real Things Happening. The #2 Line is your Best Line (except for LaF), if Chytil can ever play again, you need to reunite The Kid Line, you've got to finally get A Replacement for Pavel Buchneivich (if you are going to keep Zibanejad & Kreider together as A Line) & finally, they need to get A 4th Line that can play Defense & Score (the way Nick Bonnino Used To Play). Until Fans Stop Blaming Quinn & Gallant about their performances as Coaches, I'm of the view that we have to get A Dose Of Reality, That It's Not The Coaches, But, The Players That Are The Problem. Let me know what you think (PS. This is what you get when JD & JG gave Huge Paychecks to only Mediocre Players & when you have Chris Drury sending all of these Assets for Rentals that he doesn't keep – as Anthony said about Lou, that right or wrong, at least he signs these players he acquired – Horvat & others, which Drury should do, if he's going to make Trade Deadline Moves).

I had always said that they'd needed to promote up to The Rangers Kris Knabloch rather than even selecting Gerard Gallant, but nobody wanted to listen to me. Peter Laviollette is A Great Coach, but, it seems as if he's focusing more on not making waves than he is about Kicking A*s. Kris Knabloch has turned The Edmonton Oilers around. While I agree that it's likely the case that Knabloch would have sat players, It's not to believe that he would have Demanded More From Them, the way he has with Edmonton – don't you agree?

I called this when they refused to shoot on both power plays. Get the puck in the slot and pass it back out to the point. For a blocked shot. Sharks penalty kill is last and we just were lazy and arrogant. This is the spirit of this team pretty much for 2 months. Laviolette is not who I thought he was. Igor still shaky. Trouba bad game and no leadership. I could go on and on every night.
