Don’t know how reliable the source is, but makes sense being we haven’t heard anything yet. What a disorganized mess this whole thing has been. NHL really needs to get their shit together. Idk if it’s because of the stuff that’s going on or what, but everything about this has been so cryptic. Just reveal the fucking things already.

Wonder if there was potentially any marketing material that featured Hart/McLeod that they wanted to quickly redo so they hit a mini panic button. Hart was one of the Flyer’s franchise players for years so the possibility seems high-ish.
When they announced our 3rd jersey a few years ago they had tons of still shots and videos with a bunch of different players. Depending on the amount of marketing they had planned needing a day or two to change plans seems reasonable with the amount of companies potentially involved.

Obviously a talking point about Utah is more important than the actual existence of an NHL product in the stadium series. Granted NHL should have pushed back all announcements but you didn’t care about pr releasing Utah story may as well own up to it at this point NHL.

Shouldn’t the NHL be trying to expand accessibility? Seems like these extremely limited/exclusive Jersey announcements don’t help in expanding the game. For example, why not release these jerseys before Christmas to get these out there?
Jerseys still would be valuable down the road for collectors even if release sooner and in greater quantity. I get it. Limit demand, to make it seem more precious, but this is excessive. Get more jerseys out there, and release them sooner. Get hockey jerseys to more people. People want to spend money on these..even if they don’t turn out great.
While at it, re-release a version of our reverse retro 1.0 green jerseys next year!
