Gritty has been released from his contract by Holmgren. The team wanted to go in a different direction says a statement released from the Flyers front office. Rumours are circulating that the anthem singer could also be on the chopping block.
Personally…..I'm waiting for a smart leaf fan to tell us all , how the problem could be solved before the season ends, so they can win the cup……next year.
Does this mean the Leafs can claim Pickard off waivers and Steve Dangle can be happy again?

I wouldn't be surprised if Toronto picked Pickard up. Pickard's problem at the NHL level looks like it comes down to consistency. Good goalie coaching/psychotherapy can fix that more often than not. And, if nothing else, Pickard would help the Marlies.

They tried to do too much. Should’ve fired hakstol brought in a new coach(Quennville) and should’ve let hextall stay as the gm
I’d be stunned if the new GM keeps Hakstol. Hak was custom made for Hextall’s vision. Whoever the new guy is, they’re likely going to look elsewhere.
If you're part of management in the NHL, I highly recommend getting paid and leaving, you'll just get fired this year

Gourd Murphy was apparently fired because he didnt get along well with Provorov and Ghost. Im gonna miss Pryor though. The prospect pool is mainly his work, not hexys. Glad Stolie remains in the NHL and Picks was waived. its a very non hexy move but Pickard have been awfull and stoalie looked great in relief vs toronto and vs ottawa

I think Toronto will claim Pickard, all of their goalies are hurt in the AHL. Hakstol is a decent coach, I could see him end up like Gulutzan, who’s a really good assistant coach. I also think Elliot and Neuvirth are on the way out.
