  1. The standing-O and the crowd chanting "Sammy" legit got me all emotional. It was the best moment of the game.

  2. So the Leafs played the Jets when their down their top guy on offense, defense, and using the backup goalie, and down their top guy on the second line offense, and still have to go to OT? That’s not even mentioning the absurd penalty differential in the game, whether warranted or not. As a Jets fan I usually can only keep up with scores, so watching this makes me feel a lot more confident as we’ve been slipping a bit the past couple of games

  3. The Dillion hit on Jarnkrok was a joke of a penalty. So if a player is reaching for a puck (he was touching), and therefore bending over, you can't hit him?

  4. Steve I would like to start with, I like your clips, but I enjoy them a lot more when the Leaf's lose 😉
I think this video really encapsulates the Leaf's and their fans. You are living for today because your team just isn't getting out of season with anything resembling a banner let alone a trophy.
An undermanned Jets squad shut your high flying offence down on January 24th. Completely, and the Jets leave your over priced city and head back home with a chance to take 3 out of 4 available points in the back to back. Tonight the Jets got keepered and I have no problem with that, Sammy was very good! I know I will see more of the same from the Jets on Saturday, I can't say the same for the Leaf's. They might be great, but I doubt they will score more than 2 goals and the Jets usually bury those goals we missed last night. Thanks for putting this up and enjoy your property tax increase, stabbings on the trains, your 4 hour commutes. Looking forward to seeing what you have to say on Sunday.

  5. No Sheif, No Morrissey, No Vilardi, No Hellebuyck and you still needed OT…
Yeah Bert was out but he is what a 3rd liner? Gabe and Mark are top line players, its not the same.
Enjoy the W and be thankful you got to play us while we have the injury bug

  6. I remembered last season’s LFR when Steve mimicked Scheifele’s speech “is there something better than beating the Leafs?” Or something like that. Every time the Jets play the Leafs and Leafs win, I just cannot stop hearing that 😂😂😂

  7. If you are happy with this W at all, you are part of the culture of losing that surrounds this team.

  8. You wanted "Sammy's" hide on a wall 2 weeks ago. From Ballard to Dangle, 57 years without the Cup. You have more toys in your "bunker" than Harold did. All he had was King Clancy.

  9. I would like someone to explain what the Leafs D-Zone system is. Every time a leaf winger gets a pass, they skate the wrong way into their own corner instead of out of the zone.

  10. …..So Sammy is back? And in other News, Jack Campbell has excellent numbers in the AHL and looks likely to return to the NHL (Edmonton or elsewhere)……Goalies are so odd.

  11. Good thing Samsonov played lights out as Jets even without their best players Schieffle, Vilardi AND Morrisey still outplayed the Leafs. Lucky to get one point and very lucky to get two. Such poor effort from the Leafs top players in the second period.

  12. Sammy! Sammy! Sammy! So happy for him. Really seems like a very nice guy. Lets hope he can stay out of his own head and continue to play well.

  13. Great to meet you in Kingston, Steve (and Jesse). I’m such a fan. I’m a manager at our arena there, so I jokingly said to my co-workers, “I’m a fan of these guys.” I’m a 33 year old Leafs fan. It’s been a rough ride. Happy to take the ride with you lads.

Question: What do we do about Brodie? He’s an obvious 10/10 beauty, but he’s struggling. Maybe back to his natural side? Lower pair? Or trade him for someone who takes on less per shift? Let me know. Big fan, buddy. Congrats.

  15. Here’s what the Leafs need, consistently, what every team leads, as summed up by the great Ken Dryden: “A goalie’s job is to stop pucks … Well yeah, that’s part of it, but you know what else? You’re trying to deliver a message to your team that things are OK back here. This end of the ice is pretty well cared for. You take it now and go. Go! Feel the freedom in order to feel [like] that dynamic, creative, offensive player and go out and score. … That was my job. And it was to try to deliver a feeling.”
Can any of the Leafs’ 3 guys deliver this, consistently?

  16. MMMmmm Wow TO is going to have such a disapointment in the play offs sorry TO aint gonna happen, But hey there was 1967
