There is a shortage of top end goaltenders in the league and what's available isn't much of an upgrade. A better option is to build a strong D core, something this team has never had in the Dubas/Treliving era

Jake Allen is probably the best of the guys that you mentioned and he's not as good as Sammy. If he's healthy physically and mentally.)
I'd rather re-work our D and take our chances with Sammy and Woll Anna Jones if need be.
Leafs brought in Grant Fuhr with the young Felix Potvin.
This should just keep martin n ilya together for alot more time for now and let woll heal alot longer! So he can get fully together on all areas of he's mental healthy n he's injury

Treliving wasn't given much to begin with either, Dumb-Ass (er, Dubas) traded a LOT of assets away & have given SO much in the top end financially, what's left to pass around for decent 2nd & 3rd liners F & D? Let alone a bonafide #1 goaltender. This is not a playoff team & won't be for another 4-5 years. Jonesy was a helpful stop-gap, a surprise one too! Here's hoping Sammy HAS RETURNED to true form!!
Jones in the last 5 games: 4.09 GAA & 0.857 SCPT. Ouch. Mind you, he ran through some HOT teams in VAN, EDM & COL, also playing CGY & NYI. So there's the two-sided coin to Jones' play. till, he helped keep them from dropping down out of the playoff picture.

What contending team were you referring to with regards to MAF waving his no-trade clause? 🤔🙃 In all seriousness…they're so thin on the backend, no quality of goaltending will get them past the first round. 🤷♂️
