That’s good, now stop taking stupid penalties Wifi!

The Sherriff knows when he screws up.

Take a man to acknowledge his mistakes and own up to them publicly.

    We good.

  4. He’s been a bit shaky since coming back but that’s expected. Obviously he knows he is being watched and evaluated. That must be very stressful.

  5. Seb_Nation

Rumor says he also took a penalty in practice.

BREAKING NEWS – Marty is ANGRY with Arber Xhekaj

In other news, click-bait is click-bait

  7. He’s still a kid. He’s primed to improve by listening to the wisdom of his coaches and being given chances to iterate on his play

They’re putting way too much pressure on this guy. It’s ass backwards. Everyone knows what he brings, and being gritty and mixing it up and fighting is a huge part of that. Having him playing scared of taking penalties and making “mistakes” just neuters his game. We have a ton of bottom pairing quality guys that play a vanilla game. If that’s what they want from him, just trade him. There’s plenty of teams that would line up to gladly take him off our hands and be happy with what he brings to the table.

I get not wanting him to take lazy or stupid/wreckless penalties, but he’s clearly in a place now where he’s walking on egg shells. The team is 6th in the division and 8 points out of the last wildcard spot ffs. A young bottom pairing guy shouldn’t feel like he needs to apologize publicly every time he takes a penalty. It’s not going to be good for his play or development, imo.

In mgmt didn’t think this guy is for real, they wouldn’t have bothered with all this crap, he’d be down there forever.

  12. banyanoak

Love that he went and owned it, and love the coaches’ response. Bodes well.

Despite being a bit shaky since his return, I have just one observation: How many opponents tried to run one of our guys in the numbers since his return ? I think it’s close to none. I clearly remember a couple of games where it was open season on the Habs when he was in Laval.

Why tf is this guy getting so pressured. He young and we have a slew of other players making tons of mistakes but it seems like he gets a way worse reaction.

Tbh it’s pissing me off let this guy play and grow we aren’t winning shit and half our team fucks up regularly

  15. Albi20_01

At least he’s willing to learn from his mistakes.
