Lou Lamoriello and the New York Islanders announced today that Lane Lambert has been relieved of his duties and that Patrick Roy has been named the head coach of the hockey club.
After a good start to the year, the Islanders have been in a tailspin falling down the standings. They’ve struggled to defend and often don’t get enough goal support. Will this coaching move turn their season around?

It's a start. The Islanders need a lot more than a coach. Lou should be relieved of his duties at the end of the season barring a repeat of the "Miracle on Ice" of 1980.
