Yeah, he pretty good. Sure had hex on Oilers!! Whew! That was vicious! But now Oilers seem to butcher him regardless of what team he on. I'm not sure of his record vs Hawks, but I doubt he dominated Hawks at all like what he had on Oilers??
Can you do Danny Briere or marty biron I think people underestimate what they did for their teams and since you showed people the importance of Mike Smith I think if you could show the importance of these two players it would help. Thx anyways- Mack
I think Smith is a good goaltender who has just been on bad teams throughout his career and because of that he doesn't get the recognition he deserves
I used to have an NHL 14 franchise mode with Phoenix, and I ended up winning a cup with Mike Smith, and he won two Vezinas so I retired his number
Some teams just don’t have the patience to developer their goalies, especially how the waiver system can influence them

at the beginning of the season barry melrose predicted mike smith would win the vezina. I thought he was insane but he might be right after all.

He and Turco used to pass the puck on the blueline to each other in warm-ups and in training.. Turco really nurtured him to become a NHL keeper with a great puck-handling skills. Can't remember when the area where goalies can't touch came but it really hurt his overall game.
Thanks Shannon for making my video request! I feel like Smith has finally found a home that matched his firey quality. His aggressive play and stick handling work well with this Flames team. They needed an intense guy between the pipes that is also a wise veteran in the locker room.
I was pissed when he left Tampa especially because the Bolts had goaltending problems after Dwayne Roloson left in 2012, then he went on to become a solid goaltender and NHL all star. This is one of the few losses Yzerman has had that really stings especially because the Bolts didn’t return to the playoffs until 2014
I really hope Mike Smith gets sent to an actual competitive team before his career ends. Such a great underrated goalie.

Carried the Coyotes to there 1 and only conference final. Deserves massive high 5 for that alone.
