“I just wanted to give chaos giraffe a fuckin’ fine”
Damn. An accidental elbow is worth 5 min major, game ejection and a fine?
Seems crazy to me but whatever.
Typical NHL things. Old man with too big of an ego to admit mistakes and just keeps going with it.
This feels like the league showing support for the refs. Legitimize the call made last night by adding a fine.
The highlights recap skipped over all of this and went right to the announcement of the major, own your bullshit NHL, such a joke.
He should file an appeal… and then when they look it over they’ll give the fine to someone else.
Do the refs also get a fine for not making the call within the rules?
This is so lame. I get that you have to be responsible for your own body but this doesn’t happen if Kuraly doesn’t stumble while stopping AND just happens to be at Myers elbow height.
Watch the replay, Myers is baffled that he’s even facing that way because the toe pick/spin happens while his back is turned. It’s completely accidental, shouldn’t be a fine.
Maximum allowable for an accidental elbow that wasn’t even originally called?
This is the league circling the wagons on the refs it seems…
Haaahahaaha, what? Sorry, WHAT? Don’t get me wrong, I hate Myers, but that’s some real shit right there.
Man the NHL really said let’s do some crazy shit elsewhere so we can take peoples attention away from our horrific sexual assault case going on right now!
So basically every elbow should now be a 5 min major, game misconduct and a fine..right?
Ok got it.
The way that call was made was absolutely ridiculous and outside of the rules.
That said, as a player you need to control your body and not just elbow another player in the face. That’s a penalty, and just overall not cool.
Shoulda necked them instead.
