Oh non un gars de cheznous 🥱
This is interesting
Maybe he was told or figured out he’d never get a shot at an NHL spot given our situation?
Weird
He’s behind Reinbacher and Hutson in the depth charts (ok calm down this is an hyperbole) other than going to TR, idk what he can do in this organization…
Beaudin missed a lot of games to various injuries since we got him 15 months ago.
Also other LD’s like Struble and Trudeau used their opportunities to leap over Beaudin, which the org might not have foreseen would happen when they acquired Beaudin.
So now the LD is loaded with younger guys ahead of Beaudin, with no real option to work his way up.
There was probably no team interested on the trade market, so the best option for Beaudin is to become a FA and go play the rest of the season in a Pro Euro League and hope to reboot his career there.
This would also free up a contract slot for the team, which is a non-negligible benefit.
Il a gagné plusieurs coupes pour ma franchise a NHL19

> On Saturday, Anthony Marcotte of BPM Sports reported that Nicolas Beaudin would like to play more whether it’s in Laval or on another team. He has handed the request in the hands of his agent, Andre Ruel of CAA Hockey.
Who ?
Who?
Elliote friedman has reported Beaudin was unhappy with his playing time with Laval, & it was mutual termination. My view is Montreal felt they couldn’t help him due to depth at D and with players like Lane Hutson coming next year / end of season he would most likely fall further down the organisational depth at D. Due to his playing time there is no market for him. I either expect him to sign an AHL only deal till end of season with another team in the hopes of earning an NHL Contract next year or he goes to Europe to finish the season for the same purpose – the added bonus of going to Europe is more money then AHL only deal although not sure how successfully he will be as most European team will have used thier import spots at this stage.
