Crosby is probably one of the few forwards potentially available I'd actually trade a 1st round pick for. The problems are that it would take a lot more than that, he'd be a rental, he's older now and I'd rather have a youngish top 4 defensive defenseman if I'm trading a 1st. Ideally, you don't trade those picks. That's a Jim Benning move.

Ron Hextall listened to his request to keep Malkin and Letang, it would be illogical to trade him when his wishes have been granted. Dubas said he's gonna try to win as long as they're together. I think a Guentzel for Kuzmenko and future assets (like a prospect and draft pick) trade is much more realistic.

Remember how Horvat’s point production, especially goal scoring fell off a cliff last year, when he went to the NYI? That’s what would happen with Crosby: His play will fall off a cliff because he’s entering a new system without enough time to integrate. Canucks should focus on acquiring more depth and hanging onto their top prospects
