It shouldn’t be a surprise that Chicago is near the bottom of this list.

Who do you guys think will be #1? I think it will be Pittsburgh or Tampa Bay.
Thanks for these videos! Always exciting to see a new one come out and to hear your thoughts on the happening around the league
So strange because growing up these guys ran the league and won so much
They were great from 2007 to 2017 how are they 31?
As A Chicago Blackhawks Fan, since I started watching the hockey sport & saw The Late Great Tony O Esposito playing Goal for Chicago, I've always wanted to see them Win, but, with The Rebuild, it had to be & it was nice to hear GM Kyle Davidson say that they weren't going to be very active at The Trade Deadline. We'll see if all goes well. Thanks for The Video, Shannon.
Reickel has been a big disappointment this season………….. Some of the young defensemen have been very good………… I wish Pang would stop saying "there" a hundred times a game………. Management needs to settle on which young guys they want to develop and have confidence in them…………. I think the off ice issues really hurt the decisions that management made because they have basically gotten nothing for Kane and Toews. It would have been better to keep them at reduced salaries and let them know that their roles going forward would be very different than they were in the past. They would have a lot of value if they were still Blackhawks. Hopefully Bedard will be patient and not let the lack of team success frustrate him too much………………
I am a little confused, the wiki for "List of all-time NHL standings" lists the all time points percentages for all the teams, but they are different than the ones in the first two videos. I am just wondering if I am missing something, misheard something, or if the data is not accurate in any one of the two cases. e.g. it says the Blackhawks have an all times points percentage of .501 on the wiki.
As a Hawks fan, I would have traded Kane in like 19/20, but I still would have held on to Toews to be the old veteran for a rebuild. It's been down hill since they traded Panarin. My guess though: #1 will be the Avs or Tampa Bay.
Gotta say I love this video series š
This series is the one
As a fan of a team thatās been bad for a while I take pride in not being in the bottom two.
Crazy that we haven't seen the Sabres on here yet šš
5:38 – Gerard?
Still feels weird seeing the Blackhawks in the basement after the 2010s dynasty. Then again, the Hawks had many years of despair from the late 90s until they finally broke through in 2009.
This team HAUNTED my childhood and Iām sure in a few years theyāre gonna haunt my adulthood, but Iāve enjoyed the time in between.
BLACKHAWKS THG POWER RANKING HISTORY
Top Row: 2 times
2nd Row: 12 times
3rd Row: 55 times
Btm Row: 88 times
Avg: 24.35
Best: 1
Worst: 32

Last: 12 Times
No way itās been 7 years since 2017. Thatās a lie. Ahhhh.
I would add the current cap and next year. Prior to the extensions hawks had over 50 million in space. I can see them spend a decent amount this off season, bring up several prospects next year and be in the 8th seed conversation for most of the year. Not making the playoffs but in the conversation. I don't think I am crazy saying they will be in the playoffs in 2 seasons.
Pre 2008 hawks is pure pain
Love how the rebuild is going, really like our GM and coach and the prospect are looking good. I can wait a few more years
these graphs are so interesting! a great visual for the actual highs and lows of seasons, id love a closer look at them
The amount of data you had to compile for this series must have been STAGGERING!
Have you thought about going on a vacation? š
Great series Shannon!
Doesn't bother me that we've been bad for 6 or 7 years cause we had a dynasty. Bowman's overreaction to an unlucky playoffs is what destroyed the team. One of the worst general managers. He took credit for a team he didn't put together and then destroyed it. Was shocked to see us at 31 at first but forgot when you started power rankings. Thought we would be 1st before I realised.š I've felt good about things since Davidson took over, he seems to know what he's doing.
Time flies so fast
Idk how Columbus can be over the hawks
Small price to pay for 3 cups š future is bright. Iāll still show up to the UC win or lose
So hard to see anything Blackhawks at this point without it being deeply tainted. That crest stands for Covering Up sexual assault, I think their top need might be a full rebrand.
This new series is everything Iāve dreamed you could do!
It makes sense to keep some guys who have shown potential for continuity's sake. They have enough draft picks coming up and players in the minors to develop. When they signed Brian Campbell, that was really big news and an indication that management thought they were close. Then Hossa the next year.
shannon don't sweat these comments, this is a great series
Whoās Gerrard??? ššš
Chicago has almost as much cap space in injuries and dead cap as they do on the ice. Furthermore, about half their team are RFAs at the end of the season and of those, one two, maybe three have shown they are NHL ready.
Still enjoy watching my team and we have a bright future
Well would you look at that, my two favorite teams (OTT #1, CHI #2) in 32 and 31 on the THG all time average
Tbh, Iād be feeling much worse as a hawks fan if we didnāt win the Bedard lottery. Hoping we can get some Edmonton luck and maybe get a top 3 pick again this year and if we hit on them, we might be back earlier than anticipated. Rebuild is going well and I like Kyle from Chiās dedication to a faster style of play with getting people like Moore and Nazar
Fingers crossed, but I think the rebuild is on the right track so far. Lucking into or having the lottery rigged (jk) to get Bedard obviously speeds the process up, but the other top prospects like Nazar, Moore, Korchinski are all progressing positively imo plus other sneaky guys like Ethan Del Mastro, Paul Ludwinski, Landon Slaggert, Nick Lardis, Gavin Hayes, Roman Kantserov, etc. the list goes on all seem like they have a legit chance to stick in the NHL. It is looking like we will have another top 3 pick this year which will add even more top talent plus another I think 5-6 picks in the top 2 rounds next year. I also like Davidson signing some of these veterans to longer deals to bring in some continuity and leadership. On top of all of this, I really think Richardson will win a coach of the year award sometime in his career, the players seem to love him and he gets the most out of them even though it may not seem like. Who knows, maybe we will still be in the bottom of the league for the next ten years while wasting Bedard but so far I like our progression even though it seems like we are at rock bottom.
IĀ”m right there with you regarding the memory issues !…
The team was supposed to take a modest step up in wins and points this season. The unprecedented combination of Taylor Hall, Andreas Athanasiou, Corey Perry, Tyler Johnson, Anthony Beauvillier, Connor Bedard along with missed games from Connor Murphy and Seth Jones aggregate to a lost season. However, there were no playoff aspirations. The only significant cost of this lost season is the impact on phenom Connor Bedard's chance at winning rookie of the year. The lost season cost is mitigated by another high draft pick and the opportunity for individual players to show the team and league more of what they are made of for contract purposes. Based on how the team is actually playing in their many losses, the coaches and leaders have clearly done a good job managing the locker room and placing building blocks required for a winning culture. The recent contract extensions are evidence that behind the scenes the metaphorical bus is moving in the right direction with a lot of the right people on board. Without the injuries and Corey Perry contract termination I estimate this team would rank 25 on this list.
