  1. Slaf was the best player on the ice tonight and has his best game. Not just the 5 shots the goal and the ice time but the confidence. He was in a 1 on 3 once in regulation and went around all 3 with decent skating and hands and got a shot off. Then did the same in OT. He was creating for himself and not relying on him getting open passes for shots.

  2. March 2024 – 9th Toronto, 12th Columbus, 14th Boston, 16th Calgary, 19th Edmonton, 21st Vancouver, 24th Seattle, 26th Colorado

  3. Time for Marty to smarten the @#$% up ! His bs with Arber has him second guessing and overthinking his game. Barron was absolutely horrible yet stayed up way too long.

  4. No surprise here that we lost since we had Jake "The Joke" Allen in nets.
The trade deadline can't fucking come soon enough.

  5. I feel great. Made the Pens work for it and required a magical Crosby play to tie the game. Jake Allen increased his trade value. Monahan and Slav look good together meaning there is increasing reason to think about keeping him OR make sure a trade provides us with some very valuable assets. Imagine having 3 lines with duos that have chemistry – Suzuki and Caufield / Monahan and Slav / Dach and Newhook…

  6. I still don’t get why management wanted to fix Xhekaj. Obviously he wasn’t perfect but he was damn good. He could hit, he could fight, he could even score. Now it seems like they’ve scared him into not wanting to make mistakes and I’m just wondering why? What was the point of it?

  7. They played pretty good. Mistakes cost them the game. They seemed to run outbid gas in the third, but owned the overtime giving up a 2 on 1.

  8. The Matheson hate is getting ridiculous, he’s playing against the best the other side has to offer every single game, Savard was injured for a while so he had even more to take on during that period.

Nobody in our young defensive core is even close to Matheson in offense or in his transition game which are crucial to have in a first pair, yes he’s not elite defensively that’s why he’s paired with Savard.

Keep in mind the fact that he is playing exactly like he played last season, statistically it’s scary how this season and last season sample look the same except the +- which we all know is to be taken very lightly, especially with the 3 goalie rotation around 3.00 GAA and around .900 save percentage.

  9. IDK if anyone has noticed but the Habs struggle to get 30 shots on net but give up 30+ consistently.
Yeah that Guhle goal was typical th eforwards are very inept and th edefense are the reason most offense happens.
That Eller goal was why IDK not like GUhle I think he is way over rated.
So it goes off Matheson skate he gets a minus but his partner Guhle just look at him he is SPECTATING he is not looking anywhere for an open man this is whatg all the players do most of the time in our own end they spectate the puck and forget the rest of the ice.
As to Slafkovsky we cannot compare to other players playing third line ice time Slaf is getting HQ ice time on PP and the top line he better be a 70+ point man with a +10 or better.

  10. I’m sure that Suzuki and Caufield are missing Slaf on that first line . Did anyone see the frustration on Slaf’s face when Matheson kept ignoring him on the PP .

  11. It's prob gonna be another 4yrs; additional-hockey league, B4 a real chance at greatness. But, hopefully not a 40-yr rebuild like most of the league.

  12. Many things have been driving me coo-coo for coco Puffs this season here is just one….when the Habs get into their defensive end on a 5 on 5 situation the play the box likes it’s a PK, I shout and curse at my TV and yet the opposition doesn’t have a PP, I’m getting grays just watch this play out game after game.
Now that I’ve said it you’ll see every game you watch from now on.
Later budz, I’ll be at the HABS game March 21 in Vancouver, come out to the left coast and join us!

  13. Lars Eller was one of my favorites in Montreal. I really hated it when they traded him. Oh that time he hi-fived the ref after scoring a goal… Anyway, our friend Arber was a healthy scratch. Why bring a guy back if you're not going to give him a chance? He knows he done wrong (right along with the rest of his teammates who also took penalties that could be qualified as "stupid"). So let him play to see if he has "adjusted" to NHL reffing after his long stay in the AHL ! BTW The Rocket aren't having so much fun now that he is missing… And if Montreal trades him, A) I hope he comes back and haunts them B) I give up on the Habs and will be cheering to whichever team he is traded to. Except Boston or the Flyers of course, never those two. 😉

  14. Eller was playing like a beast that entire game, and could have had a hat trick with some of the near misses that he accumulated.
