There was a lot of slick skating by the Ducks that game. Loved seeing Zellweger go full neo on that incoming hit. That Terry ankle assasin rebound goal was a thing of beauty too. LaCombe was just fire as well.

This is satire right? Looks like he put himself on a very vulnerable position and almost got crushed but the Minnesota guy didn’t want to finish the hit, maybe I’m overthinking it with all the bad hits lately and all the talk about how defencman are putting themselves in vulnerable positions

I wouldn’t even consider trying that move against a forechecker who is body first, man second. The forechecker here did a terrible job of containment. You are taught to get an angle and not allow him to skate behind the net and out the other side. You’re supposed to force him back up the short side to the corner You’re also taught at the very beginning of competitive hockey that the first man takes the man and second man takes the puck. That’s how you forecheck. Not what we just saw on the video. That was pathetic.

There’s a BTS song about that, but who am I kidding, you guys don’t listen to Kpop. XD

A solid one-handed forecheck without playing the body at all. No wonder it looked easy.

He’s playing chess while the others are playing checkt

  7. That’s what happens when you reach instead of using the body. The coach is gonna surely review that.

I mean, McDavid does exactly that multiple times per game
