PATRIK LAINE LEAVES THE BLUE JACKETS, FILIP CHYTIL SHUT DOWN FOR THE YEAR, HABS TERMINATE A CONTRACT

PATRIK LAINE LEAVES THE BLUE JACKETS, FILIP CHYTIL SHUT DOWN FOR THE YEAR, HABS TERMINATE A CONTRACT

So I just got back from my trip and I have my own hockey game to play in about an hour from now so that means we have to get through this video quickly we’ve got three different scenarios of three different guys from three different teams that are all leaving their teams

In various capacities starting out with probably the most star studded player of the group let’s talk today about Patrick l because the Columbus Blue Jackets released this statement earlier today that he has entered the NHL PA’s player assistance program the Blue Jackets NHL and NHL PA have announced Patrick l will

Be unavailable to the club for an indefinite period while he receives care under the terms of the NHL and nhlp program he will return to the club when cleared for on I competition by the program administrators Patrick has our complete support and our sole concern is his well-being said Blue Jackets GM and

Alternate Governor yarmo kealan out of respect for Patrick we will have no further comment now Patrick l himself had a statement that he put out on Instagram this was on his story dear fans and supporters I wanted to take a moment to address my need to step away

From the game for a while after careful consideration and discussions with my support network and team I have recognized the importance of prioritizing my mental health and well-being hockey has been my passion and my life but I have come to realize that in order to perform at my best I

Need to take this time to focus on myself I’m grateful for the understanding and support of my team the leagues and our fans during this time I will look forward to returning to the ice with a clear mind and Renewed Energy thank you for respecting my privacy

During this time and for your continued support with love Patrick l now here’s the thing about sorry cam Robinson got to get your face off the screen again but here’s the thing about mental health stuff and mental well-being and hlpa player assistance program sometimes you just got to get help sometimes if you’re

In a state where you can’t perform to the standard that is expected of you you’re an 8 million million doll athlete like Patrick l is if you know that there’s something going on between your ears and behind your eyes that’s preventing you from being that $8.7 million guy it’s partly your

Responsibility to speak up and say hey I kind of need help here and that’s exactly what Patrick l did so good on him for going out there and addressing a need that he has he’ll be taking some time off it’s not like the Blue Jackets were in the midst of a good winning

Streak anyway I know they’re playing in a few minutes here against the Seattle and they just blew a lead against Vancouver the other night but for Patrick l we all know how good he is when he is on he is a point per game guy

When he is at his best he is a 4050 goal guy when he is at his best as we had talked about a few videos ago it’s unfortunate but we haven’t really seen that 4050 goal Patrick l in a few years but we all still kind of recognize that

There is good talent here and he is a very valuable hockey player so for Patrick l of course this is a situation where we’re all hoping for the best we’re all saying hey as long as it takes whatever it takes just get your mind back up there get into it and hopefully

If it’s with Columbus or not he’ll Rebound in the NHL and force himself to succeed once again now we did have rumors that the Blue Jackets are actually listening to offers on line a and PR Rob so that’s going to be interesting to pay attention to whether

Or not that actually transpires and line goes back to Winnipeg or all places everybody’s saying Winnipeg it’s kind of funny like the amount of jets fans on my timeline are tweeting out oh yeah L let’s get him back like that’s kind of funny especially considering the circumstances now that Winnipeg is

Really good it would be such a treat to see L the big fin back on Peg City but he is only one of three guys that I wanted to talk about in this video the other one is also in a very tragic light we had ourselves the New York Rangers

Making an assessment on Philip cheel take a look at this statement they published earlier today following a thorough evaluation of cheel after his recent setback from an upper body injury injury it has been confirmed he’ll be out for the remainder of this season the organization’s top priority throughout

This process has been Philip’s health and we will continue to fully support him in his recovery with an aim to return for 2425 now you might be going out there and asking wait what happened this time well Philip cheel sorry cam Robinson got to get rid of your face once more Philip

Cheel has been on the IR for a while six points 10 games played this season with New York he’s been a pretty good player All Things Considered last last year 45 points 74 games he was a part of that kid line in Prior playoff runs Cheeto is

A skilled guy we know what he can do but injuries have really taken a toll in particular head injuries and the other day when he was practicing with the New York Rangers when he ended up falling to the ice and having to get helped off for

10 minutes that was a really big red flag as to where his overall health and status was and we had tweets like this from nyr Louie going out there and pretty much sharing a sentiment that I thought was very spread out throughout the Rangers Community I really hope

Cheel is okay and maybe this practice injury isn’t head related pray to goodness it isn’t but Drury needs to keep this in mind that cheel is a bad hit away from possibly never playing again and that was a dagger after we had the injury leak out and the Rangers beat

Reporters were all saying yeah he got helped off the ice he needed to get helped we were all kind of worrying you know some people were anticipating the worst that hey this could be the end for Philip cheel this guy may never play a game again but for the Rangers they’re

Giving him the benefit of the doubt they’re saying hey we’ve got a few months left in the season let’s just hold out for now we’ll see what happens in 2425 between now and then though just use this time to recover and we’ll just see where we go from there that is

Totally okay as long as Philip cheel is fine with it but at the same time I mean if cheet never plays a game again if he doesn’t play in 2425 I would not be surprised about that either just the magnitude of these injuries that he has sustained plus the effects it seems to

Have on him when he does suit up for practice once in a while this is some really tragic stuff for a guy in cheetle that we all kind of recognized was on the up and up he was slowly getting better you know 20 points season here 20

Points and fewer games here 20 points and even fewer games the year after that a little bit of a setback in 2122 with 20 points in 67 games but then that 45o game stint yeah is that right 45o season excuse me where he had these numbers he

Was a 20 gold guy and now him and his $4.4 million aav salary till the end of 2027 is going to be on the ltir so for the Rangers who knows what kind of replacement they’re going to have to go out there and get to Aces for this kind

Of a deal did I use that word right no I don’t think I did my bad but Philip cheel of course we hoping for the best recovery possible but I’m just going to say it if his recovery involves him never being able to play hockey again that’s okay like dude keep your health

Intact that’s probably something that I think everybody shares here as well because Philip cheet is only 24 years old we don’t want to see any worst case scenario going on here even Johnny Lazarus went out there and said yeah this was the only option Sheet’s long-term health is more important than

Playing a sport it’s incredibly sad to see but we’re all pulling for you shetel now we have one more guy that I wanted to talk about in regards to him leaving his team and that is Nick bodan take a look at this Elliott fredman tweeted this out earlier today that he

Is on unconditional waivers for the purpose of contract termination and this is something that we should not be surprised by fredman says that it’s been reported that bodan is unhappy with his minutes in AHL Lal so this is a mutual agreement and this is something we

Talked about two weeks ago we asked the question as to whether or not the Canadians Blue Line both on the Montreal team and the lval team was becoming a problem because you had Nick Bodin as one of these guys that actually wanted out or was interested in getting traded

Because he wasn’t getting any ice time they’re just too many guys in Laval too many guys on Montreal that for bodan who’s 24 years old still trying to make a name for himself and force himself into an NHL spot I mean the guy only had 16 games played with Laval this season

After being a pretty let’s just say Mainstay guy with the team last year so seeing him exhibit this type of a profile and process where he is like yeah I kind of want more playing time I want to get a little bit more experience and be able to show myself off and maybe

Force myself into an NHL roster sooner it’s not going to happen here in Laval that was something we already talked about so him being placed on waivers he’ll be a free agent he’ll sign with some other AHL team hopefully that has more opportunity in their lineup and for

Nick bodan all we can do is hope for the best for him so this is our update today Patrick Lia has taken a leave of absence because he’s going over to the NHL pa player assistance program Philip cheel has been shut down for the season and you have yourselves Nick bodan who is

Getting terminated by the Montreal Canadians let me your your thoughts in the comment section below about these three guys and them all leaving their teams I hope you enjoyed this v99 and bye

  1. Now we can all just wait for the clown ChilliJets BM20
(Laines biggest hater) to make another dump and hateful comment about Laine. Don’t know what that guys problem is but he definitely don’t know anything about hockey. Shame on him.

  2. That 2016 draft class is definitely looking like the greatest draft class of all time, perhaps even greater than the fabled 1979 draft class! Laine has dropped in performance, Puljujarvi is a total bust, and a bunch of the other ones are straight up stinkers.

Out of all seriousness though I hope Laine is doing well. Mental health is serious and hope he gets the help he needs

  3. Was wondering why I didn’t see Laine at Saturdays game. Hope he gets the help he needs. I always wondered what it would look like if he came to play with Petey though!!

  4. Another negative after effect from Patrick Laine being traded away from the Jets. Only reason why he was traded was because Blake wheeler didn't like him playing Xbox on game day, and the Jets could certainly use him back now. There is still a very large portion of the fan base that is unhappy with him being traded away.

  5. Laine could have post concussion depression, thanks to Andersson elbowing his head earlier this season.
